My husbands dream is to find a job and move to Italy(preferably) or England. How dog friendly are these places? Are dogs allowed on the trains? Do they have to be in a crate? Is so do they make crates with wheels cuz I can't carry around a dobie in a crate everywhere

Hi! Both Italy and the UK are pretty dog friendly and both allow dogs on trains.

I'm not sure about the Italian train system, but in the UK you can have a max of 2 dogs per person and they are allowed in the normal carriages they don't have to be in a crate. Technically if someone objects, you may have to go and sit in the carriage where the bikes are stored, but I've never had this happen or heard of it happening to anyone else.

I live in England. We just travelled on train (3 h ) and didn't need to use crate, he sat with us on a chair on his blanket, stuff was very helpful and friendly. Dogs unfortunately are not allowed in the shops, and people are not leaving them outside the shops as sometimes they are got stolen ((( (espec pure breeds)

I find where I live is very dog friendly, i take my dog almost everywhere with me she is allowed in the bank, the pubs, hardware store, pet stores, farm supply stores. I have never had to use public transport with her. I live in the countryside so I am not sure how dog friendly cities are.
