| Yup it's possible, but I would still do at least the breathe rite strips for a few weeks. Better safe than sorry. The tips look a little week in that first photo, how floppy are they when she walks/runs around?
I've had puppies be done that early but also have their ears fall through teething...

| Good for you! I would keep posting though, as she is still teething her cartilage is still in prime condition to be solidified as her adult teeth come in. If her adult teeth come in and they are standing with posting, then wean off of the posts. Then again as long as you are diligent with her ears, it is your choice.
I still find myself posting Rou's ears here and there, as he likes to sleep on his right ear and make it fold over... it is the weaker of the two...

One general rule of thumb is "when you think they're done, post another week"

| If they are standing well...why would you post standing ears? Some people believe in lengthy posting, I don't. My two litters were done by Patty Edwards, DVM, a well known and respected cropping specialist, recently deceased.
She told me her rule of thumb and it is posted here: Kane's ears after ten days of posts! |

She told me her rule of thumb and it is posted here: Kane's ears after ten days of posts! | I read your post and I totally agree with it . Venus ears stood for 3 days after her first posting. We posted again and they held for a week . We continued posting and know at 15 weeks I really think she's done . I'm so happy I got a pup with great ear cartilage . If I see they weaken the next couple of days I will post again . Thanks for the great info Sent from Petguide.com Free App |

| Bruce's ears are standing great, but I'm doing the breathe rite strips just for a bit for my own piece of mind. |

Bruce sleeps most of the day (curled up in a comforter on the couch), and goes all limp and floppy when I try to make him go out for a pee, but come evening he starts getting a little wound up. I've just been using that time as training time to hopefully wear him out. He's used to playing outside with me for a good chunk of time, but he HATES the cold. Even with his jacket from MeadowCat he doesn't like these temps (can't say I blame him). |

| My girl is 15 weeks old too and I don't think we are done posting yet. Counting down the days though. She just started teething last night so people say continue posting through the teething stage so we will.

| It's one of those things will lots of variable posting styles and opinions and genetics plays a bit of a role as well (i.e. the ear leather and cartilage)
All the posting pups I've personally dealt with have been cropped as late as 16 weeks** and all have stood by 6 months at the latest often earlier....
That being said I have seen and am currently helping post dogs that aren't done till 9 months to 2 years old.
You get what you get and you just have to be on top of them until they are done
**(I haven't seen problems from this, but do reccomend 12 weeks and under personally)

| Be sure to keep us...posted? Grizzly's ears are looking gorgeous, but I'm so neurotic that I don't let them down for longer than about 30 minutes.
LindaH, your input was really encouraging. I wonder why that idea is rallied against. |

LindaH, your input was really encouraging. I wonder why that idea is rallied against. | Actually my breeder told me to post for 4-5 days and let them loose for 1 day. I followed exactly what posting method she showed me and its seems it worked great. But I am noticing a little curl forming on the left ear tip. I'm going to buy breath right strips and put them on .
