Do ears stand all the time?

Hi everyone, got a question concerning ears. Isis is 7 months and her ears do not stand all the time. When she is alert they stand straight up no problem. When she is inside around me and my boyfriend they pretty much stand all the time. But when people get ready to pet her they lay down, when she holds her head out the window going down the road, she lays them down, when she is playing with other people she lays them down, sometimes when we walk her she lays them down. Is this normal? Should I continue posting them? thanks for any and all help.

You mean like this?

That's normal. Standing up straight only occurs when they're alert. It's the floppy, creased ears taht you have to worry about. If your worried about her ears being done I'd post them another week or two just to be sure.

No dog is at fault for being born into this world.

Ok great. Thanks for the reply. Her ears aren't floppy but I do believe they have a crease in them. I have attached some pics I just took.

My boy is 7 months also and his ears look similar to your girl's ears,
as far as the way they are standing. I will try and post some pictures
of them here in a little while to show you.

I first started leaving them un-posted around the time he was about 6 months.
They looked great for a couple of weeks, but then started to dip in a similar manner
as yours did. I think they started doing this because of a natural crease that was
developed by him laying his ears down. The crease is about 1/4 to 1/2 way up the
ear and in the back part only. It seems to be right next to a vein in both ears.
After a couple weeks of him laying his ears back, the ear developed more of
a cone type shape rather than just straight up and flat, and thats what caused the dip in them. Seems to be a bit more natural looking to me, but I don't know if they should do that or not. I wish someone would chime in and say for sure though because alot of the pics I've seen show this dip. Some worse, some not as bad.

I started posting again for a week, they looked better, but not much.
I'm still going to post for another couple of months regardless,
just to give them a fair shot. If they can be corrected or not, I don't know.
If they NEED to be corrected or not, I don't know.
What I do know is that if they need to be corrected, the time is now, not later.
I'll never put implants in, so all I can really do for them is continue posting.

Here are a few pics of when I noticed what was going on.
He was a little over 6 months old at the time, if I remember correctly.

And here he is as of yesterday...

As you can see, not much has changed...with his ear anyways.

Isis is looking beautiful. I'm still posting Axel's ears. One stands pretty good, but one still flops when he's not focused.

Axel keeps his ears in the "sweet" position almost all the time! I guess he's just a sweet doggie!

Thanks we are trying to put some weight on her now. Hopefully that will work. You have any pics of Axel? Would like to see him.

Thanks.
Pictures can sometimes be deceiving though.
He's only 60lbs right now, haha.
Pretty small for a male at that age imo, but he has had some setbacks.

Axel weighed in around 60 lbs last week at the vet. Here is a pic of him I took just a few minutes ago.
