Uncropped ears (post pictures please!)

First things first, I DO NOT want to start a cropped Vs. uncropped debate, there are more than enough of those here already- if you can't say anything nice, than don't say anything at all

What are your favourite type of uncropped ears?
Did you tape your dog's ears at all to get a desired shape?
For those of you who breed and leave ears natural, do you consider ear shape/set when selecting a stud dog?
I have seen quite a few different ear shapes since looking on DT, I had always presumed that Dobes all had the same type of ears before then!
I love the crazy on top of the head ears that I have seen posted on here, mostly on UK Dobes I believe.

I always loved the ears on my first Dobe Poppy, they framed her face very nicely (sorry for the terrible quality pic)

I think her ears are what I would consider perfect (in my mind) on a Dobe, expressive, very mobile, nice size

(also, didn't she have the most gorgeous facial markings?! I LOVED the sharp markings on her face... sooo pretty!)

My second Dobe Cricket had quite big, floppy ears that never seemed to perk up, even when she was alert... just kinda hung there. These are probably my least favourite kind of ears

Lottie seems to have ears that are in between Poppy and Cricket's

So yeah... post more pictures guys!

I think my first Dobe had ears similar to Lottie's. My old computer with all of the scanned photos is dead, unfortunately so I can't post them

I didn't know there were different ear shapes or naturally crazy ears until I joined the forums. I doubt anyone ever bothered to tape his ears since he was a rescue and nobody even bothered to take basic care of him for the first couple years of his life.

I'm sure I'm in the minority but I LOVE flying nun ears and really dont care for the lab type ear the standard calls for in an uncropped dobe

Casper had the greatest ears IMO

Toula's ears are just wild and crazy

Dobejazz I love your dog's ears! I couldn't remember who it was on here that had crazy dog ears... I can't understand wanting to tape down the 'flying nun' ears, they are so great looking as they are

I also did not know until joining this forum that so many natural ears could look so different. I also just posted some of these pics but any reason to show off my girls and I'm there! I did not do anything to Lexi or Kyrah's ears. If uncropped I seem to like all of them but cropped I like the longer crops but I even like the crop and flop ears. It is my least favorite when one ear stands and one does not.

This is Lexi (RIP) I believe her ears were smaller than Kyrah's.

This is Kyrah at 9 weeks and her ears were huge she looked like dumbo. Then there is a pic of her at 10 months. I believe her ears are rather large but we just love to rub them they are so soft.

What would I do without them?

How exactly do you tape their ears? Do you just tape them to the side of their head? Does anyone have pictures. I've always kind of wondered.

Although Drago's ears generally hang pretty straight, he does hold them a little differently depending upon mood energy level.

Poor tortured boy - he really doesn't like this look for his ears at all!

Happily owned by Drago

He had an e-collar at one point so one of his ears stands up when he is excited. At times it lays on the top of his head. It kind of makes you crack up when he is being so serious.

This is calm sort of. Well as much as a five month old puppy can be.
