Hi guys,

I was asked to post this here on behalf of DAN regarding a young DoberDude who has the worst case of demodetic mange I have ever seen, along with secondary infections.











He was found wrapped in a blanket in a parking lot somewhere in Atlanta and picked up by local animal control. Atlanta Doberman Pinscher Rescue stepped up and pulled him. He currently weighs 56 lbs and is extremely emaciated.

His current vet bill is at $220.00. ADPR will be covering his initial vet bill and DAN will be taking over his care. As such, there is a strong plea from DAN for financial assistance for his care.

As you can imagine, his vet care will be expensive and lengthy. We ask for any tax-deductible contribution you can make as no amount is too little. If you wish to donate, you can do so here :: Help Rescue A Doberman

Per DAN: "Patricia Buchner :: His bill for tonight was estimated at 220.00...Atlanta Doberman rescue is covering that, then DAN will take over, you can donate to DAN and we will make sure Atlanta gets taken care of if they do not get enough donations for that.....or you can send to them directly....."

I too saw this poor guy on Facebook this morning. So sad. How could they let this go?!

Thankfully the ADPR and DAN stepped up and pulled this poor young man!

I am interested to see what the outcome looks like for this guy after treatments and such. Please keep us posted!

What is the prognosis for this boy? I've never dealt with mange or seen anything as advanced as what he has, is this something in which a full recover is expected?

That didn't happen overnight. People (neighbors, owner) watched this get like this and did nothing. There isn't a punishment vile and painful enough to cover this crime.

Oh gosh, I sure hope you don't think I was offended by the posting! I'm offended by the POS that put this poor boy in this position - and am grateful you shared his story. If it's hard for me to look at these pics, I can only imagine what it is for him to LIVE in that skin!
