|  Sully Is Adopted!
Yay!
A PERFECT home came along about 3 weeks ago.
This home has one other dog a spaniel mix female who was adopted from another reputable dog rescue.
It is a family of four, husband, wife and 2 girls, 16 and 20.
They came to meet Sully Dec 26th and Sully was immediately intrigued by their dog(which is a change from cowering at the sight of another dog). We took them to the fenced in school yard to meet. They played very well together, no signs of jealousy. Allie, the 16yr old is the primary care giver for their current dog and the one who wanted Sully.
She put her dog, Rosie through OB 1 and 2 and beginner's agility with plans to get her CGN.
Allie is obviously gifted when it comes to dogs, and was VERY GOOD with Sully. I can't say exactly what it is that impressed me so much, but she just did.
She is confident to be an advocate for her current dog to tell her parents how to act around her dogs and was even letting them know how to act around Sully.
After playing outside, just Allie and I and Sully went inside so she could see how he acts in the house.
Sully took treats from her, sat beside her and even leaned on her.
It is an awesome home who is not afraid of the work Sully will need. They also work with 2 trainers and don't believe in the Cesar Milan style training.
I couldn't be happier for him. It is such a perfect home for him!
The second best news is we had 2 homes approved, including home visits for Sully, and the second home will be adopting Sully's brother after I get to know him. He will be here in the next week or so and we will see how he does with everyone.
Once he is adopted, we may take in a girl, but my mom will be fostering her since I'm not willing to push Saph's limits anymore than I have by having a boy here. So much for PPR never having dobes LOL! I've corrupted them!

LOL Nah, I won't have time to miss him. I am getting his brother on the 8th and get to start all over again!
Sully is such a sweet little puppy though. Everyone should be as lucky to have such an EASY puppy.

| There was no vomiting on the way home, just lots of drooling...YAY!
He was very happy to see their dog, Rosie, a spaniel mix and he starting doing his best kangaroo impression lol, complete with backward twirls lol.
Today, he even gave Allie some kisses.
He is obviously adjusting well and is comfortable in his new home.

I am a little sad it is not at my house because I sure was taken by your pics of this boy! My mean hubby said no to a second dog when I showed him Sully....several times lol. Not really fair when I originally did not want Coco but alas it was not meant to be this time.
Does Sully still live near you? He's such a doll and deserves a wonderful family to love him and it sure sounds like he found this! Great job on fostering him and preparing him for his future! You and Saph are the best.

His brother will be here on Tuesday and we get to do it all over again, he has an approved home waiting for him. When he gets adopted, their sister will come, but will stay upstairs with my mom- I don't want to test the waters with Saph!
