| Senior in Lansing, Michigan I don't know what I was doing on Petfinder last night... I usually am smarter. This elder boy is emaciated and looks just awful. He has been in the shelter since the end of November. Kept me awake for part of the night, and I just can't... but, somebody needs to! Adoptable Dogs |

| Don't see him on there? Maybe he got adopted (fingers crossed). The seniors absolutely break my heart.

| There he is. Heartbreaking. He's been there almost a month. Is this is a kill shelter? Does anyone have a contact with a Michigan rescue that might be able to pull this guy?

| I don't know anything about the facility, but if it was a high-kill shelter, I doubt he would still be there. I have sent a link to the only person here I could think of... dunno if she will be in a position to help. |

| Let me do some digging - I think Capital takes dogs for us out of Saginaw so I don't think they are high-kill but I'll check. Sent from my iPhone using Petguide.com Free App |

| Here's what I got back from my inquiry:
"No urgency. They temperament test their dogs. If the dog is extremely dog aggressive or extremely food aggressive those are the reasons they euthanize but they do those tests prior to placing the dog in their adoption program. They are not open admission like Saginaw so they do not have to take in every dog like an animal control." |
