Posting this for someone I know who does fostering:
Zeus is 9 1/2 years old and is an owner surrender due to "finances/schedule". He spent his first 7 years of life guarding a warehouse. He was then rehomed and spent the last 2 1/2 years enjoying a home like a Dober should. Before being surrendered to us, he was rehomed by his owner, where he was attacked by one of the resident dogs in his new "home" but thankfully only had a small wound. This boy is very sweet and clingy, typical of a Dobe, but his poor body shows wear. His canines (all 4) are broken/worn down and he has lots of lumps and bumps. He has scars from previous injuries (being attacked by another dog in the past and a broken leg when he got stuck in something at the warehouse, which was repaired with surgery). Zeus is wondering if there are any good people left in this world who would open up their hearts to a senior boy who will show them love and devotion in return?
Hi my name is Zeus and they call me a senior Dober boy because I’m 9 ½ but I don’t really like to be called a senior because I still like to run and play and have fun, just like a young dog. I can even keep up with my 2 year old Doberman foster brother…well, almost!
I came for a vacation here at my foster home because my old mom didn’t have time for me. After 2 ½ years with her, my old mom tried to rehome me on her own but the house I went to already had a dog and that mean old lady dog attacked me. Thankfully I was just a little scraped up and my mom then agreed to surrender me to my foster momma.
My foster momma says I used to guard a warehouse for 7 years but she teases me that I must have lost my job because I’m a terrible guard dog. What can I say, I just love people! And at my age, I just want to enjoy a life full of love, belly rubs and cuddling up with my people. Some treats would be cool too!
Anyway, it’s fun being in a foster home with brothers to run and play with but I’d really like a home of my own. I do have a couple scars and some “lumps and bumps” from all that I’ve been through but my foster Momma says there’s a special family out there just waiting to open their hearts to a sweet senior boy like me. I sure hope she’s right! If you think you might be that special family, please get in touch with my foster momma so we can meet.
PS. I’m bilingual! Ask my foster momma for more details!
