RFR we did not get this dog in DAN intake from you, we did get it from another person however, not sure where yours went. Seems everyone is slammed with males right now....

I'm glad to hear you did get it.
I'm wondering at this point if he might be better off euth'd, what do you think? He's just in so much pain and in need of a vet.
If no one can take him (and I understand as I cannot take him myself), then perhaps he's best out of his misery. I'll talk to shelter staff tomorrow and see what they think and how he's doing now.

| | Alpha | Arghhh this stinks!! I so badly want to help this poor boy- but RFR, I agree with you in that if we cannot find a rescue placement for him, then it is quite unfair to leave him suffering... And like you, I just cannot adopt him myself. Oh how I wish I could!!!
I would even be willing to pay for a good portion of his vetting if need be- I just cannot keep him permanently. I can only bring him in as a foster. And quite honestly, I really don't have the time or ability to do private adoption- I have done it before, and it is just too much to deal with... I AM willing to fill out any necessary paperwork, etc.. to be approved as a foster home for a Doberman Rescue though, if we can find one to accept him.
C'mon folks, can't anyone help us help this needy boy?? |

C'mon folks, can't anyone help us help this needy boy?? | if you are serious about being a foster, go ahead and apply now with the rescues close to you, when it's crunch time there is too much to do to approve it quickly. This way all the paperwork and background checks would be done already.......thanks for your offer to help him.....

| I'm just now getting free to check on all this.
Heartfelt thanks to everyone who worked to try to help this boy.
I'll add my hopes that he got a good home this time around.
I talked to Steph at the shelter and she said it was an older man (adopted him yesterday) who had had Dobermans before, and currently had no other dogs, so, crossables crossed. She said they stressed to him that he needed immediate vet care.
Dobermama, you don't know how much we appreciate you for joining this community and stepping up to help. I'll second what Tricia said, which is go ahead and get approved for foster status, that way your generous impulses don't have to go thru all the initial red tape!
Tricia, thank you for DAN's efforts on his behalf.
