| That's good news. But I have to agree with the rest of the people on here. Why did he get him in the first place? I hate to see any breed of dog kicked around from home to home. With this breed it is really hard on them because they become so attached to their family. Sad, you friends husband is a piece of crap.

| That is great news - now if Spike's former owner could get spayed at the same time he is so that the stupidity isn't passed along to the next generation...BTW - Judge Judy said it best "Beauty fades, but dumb is forever...." |

| I went to the rescue shelter yesterday and spent some time with Spike and he seems pretty wigged out right now (I think he kinda remembered me even though I hadn't seen him in a while. He was clinging to me). Spike has already had some people interested in him, but its just too soon to really show him to people. My friend from rescue told me that Spike was to be put down on Saturday if FOHA hadn't come to his rescue! The pound only had him for 24hrs. |

| that is very good news for spike! Quote: |
Then he bred his bitch to somebody's purebred male to make money off the pups, but he didn't make much. Then, the last pup to be given away mated with his momma (this one was an oops) and she had another litter. Half of that litter died, and the surviving pups have all been given to friends. He keeps saying he's going to get his bitch spayed, but I don't know when he's going do do that.
| I dont know..... why but it really bothers me when people use the term "Bitch" when they don't know what they are doing...breeding irresponsibly...just a irresponsible person....Im sure its the person who had them that says that...and hearing it from a person like that just sounds so disrespectful to the dog. but only from irresponsible people...

| A little different when velma. mary or jdd refer to their female dobes as bitches versus someone who is clueless.

Originally Posted by Riagogogo A little different when velma. mary or jdd refer to their female dobes as bitches versus someone who is clueless. | You know it is funny how people react to the term "bitch", and I will say that around non dog people I always say female instead, because using the word "bitch" freaks them out - LOL! I've gotten so used to saying it around dog people that I really hardly think about it. My converstions with other dog people will have phrases like "He is a nice dog" or "she is a nice square bitch", and everyone knows that "dog" means a male and not just any dog - LOL! JQP, would have no idea of that concept.
I think the difference between the way some people use the word "bitch" to refer to their Doberdudetts, is the "tone" that is used. No matter how I refer to my "bitches", I hope the tone reflects how much I love them for what they are and not just what they might be able to produce for me. Does that make sense??
Every activity/sport/hobby has its own "language" - I was at a neighborhood party this past weekend and a mom was talking to another mom about gymnastics (they both have kids that compete in it)........... it was totally a different language to me!

| I guess the difference is knowing who the REAL bitches are.
LOL
