There's more, but this is a good start if you are interested in adopting a doberman from a rescue and giving it a new life. |

I can safely say I'm addicted to checking their website even though I won't be adopting for quite some time. I have met a few people and dogs from this rescue and they were very happy adopting through them.

| Hello, This is Renee. I need to ask about re-homing a doberman. Now before you all judge me please understand that I have debated over this for several months. (I actually considered this once before when she was about 8months old.) I have tried to get Lexi into training and work more with her but we are just not the right match of owner and pet. After many talks with loved ones, friends, co-workers, trainers - anyone who will listen - I feel this is the best thing for the dog. Please understand that I really care about animals and this is very hard to do.
When I accepted this dog as a gift from an ex boyfriend I had a feeling I shouldn't. Owning any animal is a huge responsibility and you have to understand certain breeds. I knew a little about dobes but I'm really not the best fit for this dog. And, after 2 years I certainly have given it my best. I really DON'T want to put her in a foster home. I'd like for her to go from my home to her new home. I will tell anyone who is interested everything they want to know about her. Please let me know what to do.
Sincerely, Renee |
