check this link out

i tried to post this earlier on the last post but it didnt work, my PC did not want to co-operate

Anyways have a look at this link

Great Dane Rescue in Ohio: Harlequin Haven Great Dane Rescue -- Adoptable Great Danes

What I like about this rescue is the fact that they state who the breeder is when possible and why the dog has not been claimed by the breeder and is still in rescue, I think it is a great way of holding those breeders accountable

Do most rescues do this? I have never seen it and always thought it was great.

wow! Some of those Danes are absolutely wonderful. Whoever caused harm to them ....God will decide what to do with them.

I do if I have proof of who the breeder is. I also report the breeder to the breed club and CKC and whomever else I can!!!!! I even put a link to their website! LOL You bet I post who they are, especially if they haven't come to get their dog.

I will never understand the bias against black colored animals- thinking outloud here after looking at the listings on the site and clicking on the black dane story....

I'll never forget the 1st time I ever saw a black dane, it was sitting ringside while the person it was with was watching the dobermans. It was absolutely stunning.
I have a soft spot for danes, tho the heavy lip would put me off in any other breed.
(it pains me to see dane-like muzzles on dobermans :::cringe::: )

I think those dogs are ALL gorgeous and reading about them makes me sad. I just wish that all dogs had a good forever home.

I think that listing the breeder and how they reacted to the rescue contacting them is AWESOME
