I was wondering the same thing, was she turned in for biting??? Seems odd that they would only give her 24 hours, hopefully someone can help. RIght now I have my hands full or I would be on my way to get her.

I just sent an email asking for her status.
DOes anyone here live anywhere near where she is located? If so can you phone and ask them what it would take for them to hold on to her for a few days more until we can work out a way to get her into another shelter of possibly a foster home.
i will try and contact a DObie rescue in virginia and see if they can go and get her.

I just got this response to an email I sent thru Craigslist.


I have a sponsor for her from the Doberman network. We still need an
adopter for her though. The shelter doesn't give us any information
on why they're surrendered, just that they are. We use to be privy to
the information on their previous owners, then we got a very
malnourished dog and we as a rescue wanted to press charges against
her owner, since the county wouldn't, so after that they stopped
providing us with previous owner info. She is scared of other dogs,
but I think it's a socialization problem... she's not aggressive, just
scared. Some of it may be because she's in the shelter. She's very
sweet towards humans though. So we are pulling and vetting her
tomorrow, we may need to board her for a few days, but hopefully can
find her a home this week.

Thnak God, she is safe for now! She looks like a really nice Dobie girl. Lets hope an adopter is out there just waiting for this red girl.
i emailed Christie and asked her to keep us informed.
