Rescue 'Train' - Page 2

Hi everyone. Not sure if you are all aware but there are several Yahoo transport groups who really need help. We work with a couple of transport coordinators and it is amazing what they do!

I can send links(Yahoo groups) if you'd like to take a peek. You can post to the group and people who can help with a leg will let ya know and you can also volunteer to do a leg.

Just a little fyi.

DAN (Doberman Assistance Network) part of YahooGroups does this kind of work as well. There are even pilots who do rescue runs from one state to the next. You might want to contact them and be put on their call/contact list.

Poor Patti of Valahalla rescue. SHe is being swamped with request to help so she emailed me the following info. to help make things easier for all concerned. If any of you are interested in helping with this 'train' send her a note or join the ASPCA site to join in on discussions of this idea. Hopefull this 'train' will be a seperate organization soon to avoid the confusion.

A message from Valhalla Rescue & RESCUE TRAIN to all members of RESCUE
TRAIN on ASPCA Online Community!

I'm testing a frappr push pin map for the group. When you can please
go to the rescue train page and add yourself to the map. Please include
your location and any other important information.

This is at least a start to trying to map out everybodies location and
what they are able to do.

PLEASE remember, even if you cannot drive or layover, we still need to
know your location for other aspects of this group you may be able to
assist with

Thank goodness someone set up a Frappr map--that generally works best for these things.

I do not envy the person(s) trying to coordinate all the good intentions!
