| Huge congrats to MACH Spirit and Carol Witt Spirit" is Am/Int'l/U-Ch MACH Pajant's Silent Power Alisaton CDX, RE, MX, MXS, MXJ, MJB, XF, T2B, TDI, TT, CGC, ROM. Spirit was TT Obedience, and twice TT Agility. He is the first Conformation Champion male Doberman to get a MACH. He is fully health tested and his temperament is solid as a rock. Michael Ellis wanted him for Sch but his owner decided to persue obedience and agility instead, his drives are fantastic and balanced. He lives with other dogs (small and large and a very annoying puppy bitch) and cats and keeps himself to himself and his handler at trials IMHO he is the nicest male Doberman in America, maybe the world.

| I've noticed his pic in previous issues of the various dobe mags when they do the Top 20 write-ups. Beautiful dog-we need more like him.
Has he been bred? This is the kind of dog that should be. |

Has he been bred? This is the kind of dog that should be. | I noticed that my original post was edited by the mod, I'm guessing because it sounded like I was promoting him for breeding. I think that he is very worthy of consideration since he has so much to bring to the breed. We really can't afford to overlook a dog like this, the gene pool needs him.
As of now he hasn't been bred but he has been collected. I would give my eye teeth for a Spirit puppy, |

| Huge congrats to MACH Spirit and Carol Witt Congratulations to his owners! What a wonderful accomplishment.
We have been watching his MACH points.. A CH boy I bred is working towards his MACH, we were wondering who would get there first.
If Spirit's owners wouldn't care would you share some photos of the handsome boy? I've only seen action shots of him. Sent from Petguide.com Free App

Sent from Petguide.com Free App | Sending hopes that your boy will get his MACH soon too. We can't have too many accomplished and versatile Dobes. The gene pool needs every one of these dogs with such titles on both ends.
I don't have any photos available of Spirit. I will ask his owner if she can post some here. He is a very handsome dog who finished very easily on the local FL circuit. He never went on the road.He is so much more than a pretty dog though. His owner is an ordinary person (not a spandex girl) who works full time and has dedicated herself to proving his worth.
I should add congratulations to Leslie and Bobby Hall as well as Gwen who were his breeders. |

| Seems to be a great Dobermann. Too bad the owner did not go with the suggestion of Michael Ellis and go with SchH (IPO); it would be interesting to see how he would do in the working sport. |

Very tragic for the breeders. This is why dogs like this have to be treasured and kept in the gene pool. BYBs seem to have huge litters and infrequently experience these tragedies. Go figure. :-( |

I know the dog and I have no doubt that he would have done anything asked of him with great spirit and enthusiasm. His owner works full time as an RN. I think that the Sch training would not have been possible with her work schedule. As it is, Spirit got a MACH after basic agility training and learning from the trials because his owner couldn't spend all of her time training. He really is a fantastic dog.
I think I made a mistake about the Sch trainer, it think it was Ivan B. Sorry

| I'm done with this now. I have been edited and chastised for advertising Spirit for breeding. This is the reason that I have never initiated a thread here before and have rarely posted. This is a pet forum that encourages threads about "my dog is biting me and my dog is peeing uncontrollable." Very sad. I can only hope that this thread brought Spirit some recognition and attention. His owner would be very discerning about breeding, even though the breed really needs dogs like this. |

| I don't get the editing but I didn't see the original comments. Do you (OP) have any ownership in the dog? If not why is this worse than the thread with everyone's favorite stud dog? If the OP has no investment then it's just an opinion thread and I hope we are not censoring those! |

I have repeated that I have no connection or investment in him. All I wanted was for him to be noticed and maybe used to enhance the gene pool for our breed. No good deed goes unpunished. |

| got to be carefull with your wording on some things here on DT.
soooooooooooooo.
The best way to Introduce such an accomplished dog would be.............
post some really nice photos of him and say something like...........
exactly what is in your thread title..............
nothing else.
and let things just..............go from there.
we would love to see more photos of the boy if possible............ please.
Have I hugged anyone on DT yet today?
No.
OK...........Hugz to all Doberman.

Instead of removing the thread all together, we edited it down so that it would not violate the DT rules and we could all celebrate a great dog's accomplishments. It has nothing to do with the dog's quality; unfortunately, we get a lot of poor quality breeders trying to advertise their dogs, so, in order to keep it fair, we just prohibit anything that solicits breeding.
I'm very glad to see such a fantastic dog celebrated, and certainly we should do that. We just want to make sure the discuss stays within the rules, that's all.
Please pass my congratulations to your friend - she and her boy have accomplished so much and she should be very proud of him (and herself!).

It does make me question your motivation, since you seem to be so upset that the part of your post that was removed had to do with stud services. Just sayin'. Questioning my motivation is rediculous. I never advertised stud services and made it very clear that his owner would be very selective about using him for breeding.I am not upset about the editing, I just think that it was completely unnecessary. |

| Churchill, I think you might me missing at least some of the point. I saw the original post, but hesitated to post a comment because it did sound like he was being advertised. You could have just said "Hey, this is what this dog has done. Let's congratulate him and his owner.", and left out the second paragraph entirely.

Hopefully we will have the 2nd CH Male Doberman to get his Mach and that there will be many more to follow. It can be done.
And maybe/perhaps Atlas will be the youngest. Ch Male Doberman to get his Mach. No matter what I am having a blast.
Congrats again!!!!!!!!! |
