| I think the crate is fine too. It isn't like he is living in there and you give him plenty of exercise.
He is such a handsome guy!
Love Skoll!

| I'm glad he's doing better. He sure is handsome! I wouldn't know about crates. It seems fine to me,but Jasmine doesn't have one and neither did my previous dog, so I don't have any experience with crates. |

| Rule of thumb is as long as they can stand up properly and turn around it is a good fit.
If you say it is sized for a Great Dane then it is fine.
Rou has a similar sized crate. You can probably stick 3 of him in there at his size right now and still have room. lol.

| How tall and long is he and what are the crate dimensions? It may just be a visual thing in the pictures, hard to tell real dimmension ya know Mabel looks bigger next to her massive crate depending on the angle, when really she can lay down with her legs straight out.
He looks great! hope his boo boo is healing well

| I think he's 24in long (top of shoulders-nub) but he's 30in tall. Crate is 44in long and 35in tall (and 30in wide). He usually sleeps curled up but can stretch out on his side if he wants. Unless he's stretched out he has a good solid 1/3 of the crate as leftover space no matter what. Curled up he has 2/3.
All his foster mama had to say was "95lbs" and I knew I'd need a huge crate.

| That crate looks plenty big enough. I put little value in what the average pet owner has to say about my dogs/dogs in general. |

| The crate looks fine to me, also. The only thing I have to add is that I never attach the leash to the collar that has the tags on it. Ever since Lucky slipped his collar, and was lost for 6 hours, I've always used a seperate collar for the leash.

| Mmkay, sounds good I just don't want to be forcing him to squish in there.
Yeah, I figured they were probably freaking out over nothing, and I ignored a couple after they started saying that I was cruel for making him sleep in a crate Just wanted to make sure that his crate wasn't too small or anything, didn't think it was since I got the biggest I could find with a door on the side... Past owners reported temper tantrums upon entering the crate, wanted a less confrontational method to put him in, he's had a grand total of two

Ever since Lucky slipped his collar, and was lost for 6 hours, I've always used a seperate collar for the leash. | The collar you see there broke just as we were turning into my apartment's parking lot this morning. Lesson learned, he wears two different ones (I have his old leather one and a nylon one I bought before I knew nylon bothered his skin) on walks from now on. He also doesn't wear a collar in the house anymore unless he's been touchy with the cats, and that's just so that I can grab him if he's getting too bad.
He didn't get lost after the collar broke, just ran up to my door and then back to me. Still had a heart attack though. S'too bad, I liked that one because it had a seperate ring for tags and then the normal D ring for the leash. I'm saving up for one I wanna buy from voodoolizard in the mean time

| I'm so glad to see update photos of him! What a big handsome lug
When I walk Elka, the leash is clipped to her harness, and also separately attached to her collar (I got a Liberty's Attachment from Ella's Lead at the same time I got Elka's collar.) |
