| Hello Chuck, looking as handsome as ever I see.
Where is PEARL? What have you done with her?
If I were your mum I would be looking in that long grass for her, you are looking kind of surprised there Chuck, so you must have been up to something and a missing Pearl is worrisome. |

| Chuck was just sniffing around.
he is always on the move, it is hard to catch him standing still.
i have gotten a few nice head shots lately.....maybe he IS starting to slow down!
Pearl is just fine!!

| GG all dogs have the areas where hair going one way meets up with hair going the other way. not sure there is a specific name for this.
but cowlicks are 'confused' areas of follicles that could not decide which way to go....so they circled. heehee
when showing dobes all those areas are shaved down..........many do not realize how much clipper 'grooming' is done on conformation show dobes.

| one more chuck photo.
weird how he keeps 'setting' himself up for photos that do not show his color dillution alopecia.
maybe he is embarrassed by it.
i keep telling him it is not his fault.
but i think he wonders why people keep asking what is wrong with his coat..................
anywho, we shall talk more about CDA soon.

Yeah, I definitely didn't realize, until I saw people on here discussing clippering ear edges. Also, I do notice certain more "tufty" areas on Elka, but since she's kind of an oversized freak, I didn't know what to attribute it to Even so, my grandfather either couldn't believe, or pretended not to believe, that we don't trim her at all. Sleek 'n' sassy are our Dobermans (mostly)! |

| Hey Chuck, boy did you luck out! Look at your digs, nice doberville. We are thinking it is time to leave the city. I am envious. We are not going off the grid like you guys, but we want land and not to no what are neighbors are doing. We can hear their conversations now.

| Chuck says thanks SpecialK.
he knows he is a handsome guy.
he gets told that many, many times a day.
he and i just wish he did not have "color mutant alopecia/CDA/ color dillution alopecia/blue doberman syndrome", that's all.

when showing dobes all those areas are shaved down..........many do not realize how much clipper 'grooming' is done on conformation show dobes. | They are called whorls. Cowlicks would be whorls that are in areas where they normally are not. The ridge on a Rhodesian Ridgeback is a whorl/cowlick that is a breed characteristic.
