Here are my doberbrats after going outside in the -16 degree wind chill to potty.

You can barely see Sampsons nose sticking out on the right side of the picture!

I love the nose just outside of the blankets! We had that weather a week or so ago. Burrr. Now we are in the 50's. Tomorrow should hit the 60's to maybe (I hope) in the 70's! Only in Colorado....wait 5 minutes and the weather will change.
Hope you all survive the sub-zero temps. Keep in mind....spring is coming!

It's so cold here our doggy door is swinging just one way and the young one can't figure out how to get back in. Good thing he is a chewer so a new knuckle bone will keep him occupied, otherwise I would be pulling my hair out . Would rather have 10" snow instead of these temps. I look at the pics from summer and just dream. Stay warm no matter where you are located.:)

We're in a cold snap, too. Been below 0 degrees F since Saturday night. We are bundled up, but no walks for my dogs in this weather. The worst part is that Richter keeps forgetting it's cold out, so he'll ring the bell to go outside because he's bored, run out the door and turn right around and ask to come in. We're doing training stuff, lots of raw bones to chew, but he's a puppy and he's bored...so he's naughty. Can't wait for this weather to break. He's going to daycare on Thursday to get out some energy.

Cute pic! They look cozy despite the cold! I know how you feel fellow Hoosier! *******'s planted herself in front of the fireplace.

-11 here, and that's in the sun!

Mabel obviously feels cold in the house, since she's back to sleeping in bed with me for the first time in months but that little devil just loves the snow, she gets her two coats on and prances around outside like it's still 30+ degrees....she gets mad I only let her out for 5 minutes but once she's in she curls up in her blankies like a diva lol :p

p.s.
I miss the warmth only because when it freezes here the poop becomes poopsicles and boy mom these are soooo fun to play with! :vomit-smiley:

Got crazy and double and tripled layered myself. Took each dobe for a walk by themselves. Except for the part where I looked a homeless bum and couldn't feel my fingers, the children enjoyed thier 1/2 walk. ( Sorry peeps, but -16 is a stretch) Both are much calmer, but I am much colder...OMG for the love of a Dobe.
:D

A high of +7 degrees here today. Wheeler is with Tina, so I am sure he hit the treadmill. Lola doesn't mind it a bit, but I do and she did not get out for a walk today and she's in heat so no daycare.

Kept her occupied playing tug and with a marrow bone. Supposed to be +21 tomorrow, which I can tolerate much better and the dog park will be absolutely vacant.

We had temps in the 30's F and windchill in the 20's F last week. And humidity in the 90% range. For our walks those days, I was wearing long-johns, sweat pants, a long sleeved top, a sweatshirt, and a coat with gloves, scarf and knit hat. I was still cold.

The multi-quote thingie took me a while to figure out, also. What you do is click the little multi-quote button for every post you want to quote except for the last one. For the last one, you hit the regular quote button.

Tonight it is -18 and with the windchill I don't know how cold it is!!

Coco and I went out though. My poor girl is deprived of nice Jammie's and coats because her daddy is a meany and does not believe that dogs need clothes. He is at work tonight so I put an old sweatshirt on her and folded up the sleeves so she could run. We got in the car;) and drove to the field around the corner. She ran in the field like a maniac for 15 minutes and then headed back to the car because she had had enough. We drove home ;) and she is now asleep on the couch. :butfly:

Hmm, me thinks when he gets up tomorrow and goes to put his coat on I would have hidden it. Then when he says something I would point out he has his other clothes on and that he doesnt need anything more as he has as much protection as the dog has against the cold right there.

See how long he lasts going out in the cold without a coat on.

12 degrees C here which is 53 degrees F with 30 mile per hour winds which is making it feel a whole lot colder than it should be.

My dogs are all asleep in front of the fire and are not budging.
