Bella CFF photos and update

Here are a couple of Bella's photos from the Canine Freestyle Federation (CFF) Titling Event in November, 2012. She is such an elegant girl. She took first place both days but we missed qualifying for a title by 1 point!

Bella has been sick since Feb. of 2012 - intermittent and very hard to pin down the cause. Finally she had a full blown attack of joint inflammation - every joint was swollen and tender; she was very sick. Although all the tick-borne tests came back negative, that does not mean the dog doesn't have tick-borne disease. She was treated with high dose docy protocol both times. She has been "off" since about a week after the CFF trials and tonight she had a very intense seizure, at least the 2nd one that we know about. She is under the treatment of NC State Vet Hospital and we go back this week. Of course I'm worried sick. Poor sweet girl.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------

I love to see the sweet synchronicity of our movement in the performance photos. That is not taught, it just happens when you are working together as an equal team, the choreography is fun for both, and the music selection is right for the dog's gait at the trot. Magic!

Regards from Tricia and the Doberloves!

Trish, lovely photos. She is such a lovely girl. I really do miss seeing her, even though she put Jubes in her place and Jubes has never forgotten it. LOL.

I am so sorry to hear about her illness. Working in infectious disease for so long I do know what tick-born illnesses can do you to. You have to have experienced it or know somebody very closely to get even the faintest idea. And, you are correct. Many times it does not show up in blood work, even ELISAs and WBs are not accurate enough. I'll be praying for her and pray her seizures disappear for good.

It's neat that you picked up the intensity. She connects with me on a level that I have never experienced with another dog and she stays there throughout the routine (or practice) - it is both wonderful and challenging for me to give back on the same level! She has taught me a lot. I hope she gets well enough to return to Federation freestyle - she loves it as much as I do!
