| The SO subscribes to LootCrate, a similar subscription but with nerd/gamer gear instead, it's definitely worth it to him but I think it's kinda silly simply because I'm not nearly the gamer that he is... But a BarkBox... Now that's something I really like the sound of!! If it really is the same as LootCrate, different companies pay money to have samples of their latest products sent out in these boxes to get feedback on whether they should continue production or not. You can get some really unique dog toys that way, and be introduced to companies you may have never heard of before. It is kind of a gamble, I'm sure some months will be "worth" more than others but I think it's a great idea especially for a dog who may go thru toys quickly ; ) Sent from my iPhone using Petguide.com Free App |

| My office dog (a small Chinese Shar-pei) received a few months of BarkBox. The first month she got a small oatmeal shampoo, a small moose antler on a rope, a doggie smoothie, and some natural chicken treats. Second month she got a stuffed reindeer, puppy cake mix, mini treats (mango) and another type of treat. She absolutely loves the antler, reindeer and mango treats. We haven't gotten this months yet. Generally, the items are small, the stuffed reindeer being the biggest. I guess it depends on dietary restrictions, toy restrictions, etc. but usually there are at least a couple of really good things in there. Just know some months are better than others. |

| Capone got the 3 month subscription and I only got it because I found a really good deal online. I would say that it was pretty good for the most part. I don't think that I would do it again. I think that the last one I got was the best. It just stinks that the first 2 weren't as great as the last one. Some of the items were not really appropriate for a Doberman, but it is what it is.

| This seems really fun to try! Maybe I'll do it for Brandy once we're back on our feet.

| Yeah, I just got a new phone contract and its much cheaper than my last contract.. so I can take the money I "saved" and put it towards a surprise doggie box once a month. (Somehow that justifies the expense for me)
And plus, between my mom and me, we have 5 dogs, so anything I can't use, I'm sure she could.

| I forget the name of the other one like barkbox there are several actually and they ask for weight and breed so I am thinking that they tailor the items for the dog better. If I remember the name I'll pass it on. Also if you cheek their facebook page you can usually see the previous month's loot. Like I mentioned before it is a neat concept but I wasn't overly impressed.

| I don't think it's worth it, If i'm going to spend money every month on my dog I'd rather get what I know they want/could use.
I like doggyloot, it gets tailored by size and previous purchases, but it's a list of deeply discounted goods. I get a daily email of new stuff and can go check out/sign into the site to see what other old deals are still open (they all have a time frame)
I got mabel's fifirun collar for $15 (normally $34) and it all went to charity!

They have fairly decent stuff, and there were items that I would not have separately tried otherwise (like a Tuffy toy, which while still heavily supervised, is holding up fairly well). |
