| I saw my first seizure on a friend's dog recently. You will KNOW if it's a seizure.
As far as the other stuff, I'm going to admit it...I'm pretty much a beotch about it. If you can't behave, you can't do it (whatever is is you are being a jerk about). I would see a vet and get thyroid tested but I'd also let him no that he is no longer allowed on the couch. I can do it nicely but he wouldn't be on my couch period. I'd hire a good trainer myself too.

You can go ahead and mimic the canine calming signals--they work for sure, but make sure no humans are watching when you do Control Unleashed by Leslie McDevitt is awesome. It's geared for agility training to some extent, but the principles apply across all needs.
