| Great pictures.
You know Chase is one of my favourites.
My husband peeked over my shoulder, and exclaimed "What a gorgeous boy!"
Would you mind telling me his breeding, or breeder.
A pm would be fine--he looks like a breeder line I am familiar with. |

| that Chase is such a macho guy! and your betta is a lucky boy - most people stick them in a little bowl with nothing else, and they sit and do nothing. photography is such fun - enjoy messing around with your new 'toy'!

| Aw, is that the halfmoon you lost? Or am I misremembering the fishy thread?
I just got a very ill/injured halfmoon and he's coming along nicely, looks like when he feels better he might have some nice colors.
Red boys have always been my favorite, and I'm jealous of those who have nice cameras--not that a better camera would compensate for my crummy photog skilz
One thing--and please don't hate me for asking this--but does he have a thyroid issue? I just wonder, since your posts always seem so health-conscious, and your handsome man there is quite, er, zaftig.
I know we've had several threads lately where folks talk about not knowing what to say when friends/acquaintances have an overweight animal--and for me, I guess I'd rather duck rotten tomatoes than just sit by silent.
He is a pretty boy, just wondering your thoughts on his fitness level.

He is a pretty boy, just wondering your thoughts on his fitness level. | Haha, yes he is overweight, and it's not his fault, or mine
His thyroid meds decided to stop working near the end of summer. I thought it was holiday chub, so I put him on a diet and increased his exercise.
After two months of what I thought was boot camp ( he loved it) he was still gaining weight. Then I noticed his fur thinning. So I took him to the vet, and yes, his level is way below norm.
He is now on soloxine, but it's still not working, so a full endocrine blood panel is to be done in the next few weeks. He is currently at the dose of .8 BID
He is only getting 2 cups of kibble a day, whereas last year he could gobble up 3-4 cups and still look fit.
Thanks for the concern, that's why I love DT

Thanks for the concern, that's why I love DT | Ah, yeah, that can be a pain, sometimes, getting their levels just right. I have a friend who has a very oldie girl who is having some similar issues.
And--the place she gets her meds from is out, again, and switching brands is very tricky with thyroid meds, as I'm sure you already know, if you've been dealing with this a while.
Hope that panel gives you some good answers.
He really is a good red boy
