| New year and dog park Happy New Year!
Since we celebrate New Year for three days, year end was busy. I had to change the interior and exterior decoration from Christmas to New Year's. Stock up the drinks and food... Exhausted, but I gained weight(lol).
Authentic New Year celebration door decoration. If you don't put it up, it conveys that you lost your family member in the previous year.
Flower arrangement is a must at the entrance hall to welcome God. Sorry, it's blurred.
It's been a long time to visit the nearby charged dog park. At first Elza wore the red T-shirt and jacket.
It was so muddy. I took them off! There's no doubt she was bathed after this fun
She found the park manager was baking the sweet potato and ordered (barked) one. Sweet potato is Elza's favorite snack
Manager's dog, Sam.

| Happy New Year's to you too. So neat to see the picture of the door decoration and the flower arrangement. Love seeing stuff like that.
The dog park did look pretty muddy, but looks like Elza had a good time.
Is that why all the blankets or matts are on the ground? |

Thank you for the wonderful card. It is taped onto my fridge. | I'd love to see your doberman + GSD pics Did you work out the Windows 8? I've heard that the Windows 8 is difficult to handle. Quote:

Is that why all the blankets or matts are on the ground? | Yes. Please have a look at Elza's head. Dotted(lol)
There are 5 partitions on the field and some are with matts. That dog park is good because it has a mountain trail as well. 5 sections are great, too. If a dog doesn't get along with others, he could change the area but still run and play in off-leash. Quote:

Originally Posted by Elzajpn Happy new year!! How was your Christmas & New Year? I want to see the Kelly's pictures!! She must be grown up. | Great Xmas thanks Elzajpn...son and I went drove to Michigan to take advantage of cross boarder Boxing day shopping.
- for his suit & Italian leather shoes, dress shirts, pants, sweater, etc....London, Ontario would have been $2500 and he paid $1000 in total (with the 40% off sale day)...$1500 savings, in one day road trip
- ate at ON THE BOARDER (Mexican Grill & Cantina)...awesome food...we had a great time and Mom stayed home with Kelly and son little dog Trevor
I updated Kelly's thread a week ago (w/pictures) and have taken a bunch more photo's of her (few days ago)...than my camera battery went dead & I discovered I misplaced the battery charger...some men loose everything...he-he...she seems double the size already...growing like a weed.
Elza sure has fun in those pictures, prancing around with her nub tail straight up...hope you and hubby, had a nice & relaxed holiday.
- like Elza's red T-shirt and jacket and her waiting for the baked potato impatiently (a little) was really cute...front feet on the deck boards watching

| He didn't forget Since we didn't take Elza to the family lunch on the 3rd, my parents came by yesterday just for Elza to give her Otoshidama.
Cute envelope
My father wrapped money not to contact treats he also put in there. He expected that Elza would hold it in her mouth. She sniffed but it didn't happen!!

| Happy (belated) New Year - beautiful door and floral arrangements - very elegant. And hey - what's a little mud among friends? When we were still in San Diego, our suburb had a large dog park with 3 enormous fenced sections - 1 for small dogs, 1 for medium-size dogs, and 1 for large dogs. The small-dog area is usually guarded by people who are scared for their little ankle-biters, and the middle section is seldom used, except by people who either bring 4 or 5 of their own dogs and want their own area - or unfriendly people! haha... but the "big dog" section is the most popular, and most people, even with Fox Terriers, Basenjis, Pugs, etc, come into that section, because it's the most lively and friendly. Here are a few pictures for you...
Annie and Samson, who loved her:
Annie and her "bff" Kate, an Australian Cattle Dog:
various friends...
tails of a dog park...

| lolonurse - Thanks for sharing the pics!! I'm thrilled to see the many breeds. IMO St. Bernard is the most drooling dog Once I saw him I wanted to pet but when he stood up and shaked his body, drool was all over the place It's their weapon(lol)

| My dad lived in Japan for several years. He always loved it - and when I was little, my favorite story was Momotaro, which he would tell me in both Japanese and English. He taught me songs, too, like one about a little raccoon (??...Sho-sho-sho-jo-ji?? - I'm sure the spelling is wrong.) My son inherited that love of things Japanese, and he also speaks Japanese...but has no-one to speak with, so will probably lose it.
