| Doberman v. Snowman We recently received a decent amount of snow where I live. This is my dobergirl Jasmine's first big snow. She absolutely loves the snow, almost to the point where I think she'll be pretty bummed when it's gone. I realized some funny behavior of hers in the snow, and thought I'd share!!
Jasmine loves people and other animals! She's a social butterfly, so much so, that I'll be on walks and neighbors will come outside and give her a toy they bought for her. She's become quite the little local celebrity!! Well, there is one thing she doesn't like.........snowmen! There are a lot of children in our neighborhood, so there are a lot of snowmen (some are pretty elaborate and quite good!). When she sees a snowman, all of her hair on her back goes up and she starts barking and growling like crazy. She won't go right up to them because I've tried walking her up to them. She just stands back and barks and growls like crazy. It's pretty funny! She stares at them like she is having a face off! I'm going to try to get pictures tomorrow!!

| I bought Hades a little duck toy that floats in the pool. (Picture a rubber duckie but fabric not plastic.) When he's randomly playing with it and it lands upright (like a duck swimming In water) he immediately becomes terrified/angry with it. He growls and circles it. His hair is raised and he'll bark and growl until I tip it over. If it lands on its side, or any other way, it's fine but upright with that evil duck head staring at him....he's not having it. It's the funniest thing. I posted a video of it on Facebook and all my friends think its hilarious. Sent from my iPhone using Petguide.com Free App

| Jasmine is a cute little princess Yes, I'd love to see the snowman VS Jamine picture!!
Elza loves snow too. Last winter she learned from her dog friend that snow can be a dog sorbet She eats it now.
Yesterday Elza found a snowman at the park and ATE it from head!! The other day another snowman became a pee spot for the dogs. Elza marked it too. Sorry, kids

| The other day I took earl to my parents house for a visit and romp in their big back yard. He starts getting squirrelly as soon as we round the corner onto their street he loves it there so much. So he goes running up the driveway to the back with me in pursuit and stops dead in his tracks and starts going ballistic. I had no idea why he was barking like that, and it was 6:30am so I started giving him a rather harsh "enough" (stop barking) til I caught up and saw the adorable snowman my dad and niece had built and started cracking up. I asked him to "check it out" and said it was ok but he still won't go anywhere near it. He gets close enough to try and chew the stick arms but he just doesn't like the weird guy in nana and grampas yard lol! My mom was fortunate enough to witness this and thought it was hilarious too. She now warns my big tough Doberman to watch out for all the scary snowpeople lurking around the corners.

| I'm loving the stories about everyone's dobes!! Keep the coming please!!!! I'll have to attempt to get snowman v. Jasmine pics on our walk later because I took her to the park to run first today. She seriously has it out for all snowmen!!
I love the "lurking scary snow people comment!!!!"

| Maybe because we didnt build much of a lifelike snowman or perhaps it was because we hid her toy on him but Shannon has no fear of them.
Now, black empty garbage bags when we encounter them on walks are a different story, you would think she saw the devil in them. Runs in fear our mighty dobe |

| Alright, I finally got some pics. They aren't the best though. The neighbors added a baby snowman, and even though Jasmine still growled, she didn't put her hair up or go as crazy because of the baby snowman. She was really confused haha!

| Out walking with my Dobe a couple of years ago,he was off lead and came across a snow man in a field,he barked madly at it that day and every day even when it was a tiny snow hump. For ages after he looked for that very dangerous snow criminal, even when the snow had gone! |
