| We were having fun... educating those who needed it. It is fun to learn... but I guess it isn't fun when they don't want to hear it.
SGranger- Please do stick around. This thread was not an attack- and especially not toward you. It all started with that damned tan doberman, and a few of us needed to check it out from the inside... I as well as the others were horrified and action needed t be taken. You can understand the frustration I am sure.

But really, what can you expect from a group where a person like that is admin and the leader/breeder of "white is right" or w/e if also a member.

The male she is breeding came from Katrina, she does not know his pedigree or his background...she also had his ears cropped at 9 MONTHS old (a month after she bought him after Katrina apparently) but her vet did a (crappy) military crop so they would stand. This is all in her words, typed out in the comments beside the pic. He also appears to be extremely skinny (hard angle to tell). I don't even know what to say. This sort of thing disgusts me beyond belief. I would link it, but don't want to link to someone's pictures (even though they are set to public, as I could see them).

I do have to say, for the dog's sake, that I hope he does not weigh 150lbs.

I do have to say, for the dog's sake, that I hope he does not weigh 150lbs. | Oh I know, and I totally believe that people would say that you. That's what I was saying earlier, as a tech I have had soooo many clients claim their dog is well over 130 lbs, when they are well under that (usually the 150lb dogs actually weigh like 70 or 80 when we weigh them lol).
I am confused are you talking to me about my dog? I have never once claimed my dog is 150lbs. My current dog is 12 weeks old, and at last weight was just over 20lbs...I am also a vet tech, I know accurate dog weights, and would never claim my dog weighed something that high OR let my dog get obese to begin with...

The owner actually claimed that the lab had recently lost weight and was now down to 160, confirmed by the vet. The dog was bordering on obese, but she had a tiny frame and could not have weighed more than 80lbs. The whole thing was pretty bizarre. Quote: |

No worries. The heaviest dog I have ever owned was my chocolate lab male that I co-owned with the breeder (stud dog/show dog). At his peak he was 80lbs (we preferred him around 75-77lbs)...and he was the english/show style lab, short and stocky with the thick head (as opposed to the tall, lanky american/hunting style labs). He was just about perfect at 77lbs, that was ideal for him, just the right amount of rib and waist. Even a few extra lbs and I could tell. People used to ask me if he was 100+ lbs too.

| I am not suggesting anyone here is going to agree with you, I am suggesting you learn from them because they do know what they are talking about... if you believe it is ok to take a puppy away from it's mother for your own selfish needs, then perhaps you need to learn a little. I am not normally like this, trust me. I see how some people are treated here, and it makes me uncomfortable... but when people say they are going to do whatever is best for them, and not their dog, it pisses me off.
But you think you are right, and sadly, I doubt any true facts are going to change that. This thread is not a personal attack on you, but perhaps people who put their own selfish needs before their pets.
(I am sick and grumpy right now, so I do not really feel like being polite lol)

| I find it funny. If im not starting crap on these forums im starting crap elsewhere without trying. Sighs its a hard life...
Oh well ive been learning alot about the breed from this forum. Got along ways to go but unlike people on that FB page i am willing to open my eyes and try and learn.
I never once dissed anything on that forum. i just had stated what was going on and some of the dogs appear to have skin issues. Dogs being sold with genetic conditions as studs. The FAWN dobie... which from the looks of things no purebred dobie comes in that color. Its not bashing its asking questions and noting what i saw. If people take offense i guess they take offense |

SGranger PhD - Have you browsed some of the other threads on this forum? Or are you just a "mole" reporting back to the OP of the Just Dobermans page?
Have you found this forum helpful in anyway?
I only ask this because this is a totally different environment then that page you are used to on Facebook. Just curious... (Not including the sticky you posted to)
I only ask because y
