| Where did this dog come from?! At what age did you look at your "puppy" and go "WHERE DID THIS BIG DOG COME FROM?!"
Mariano is 5.5 months, and he is already nearly 65 lbs, and almost up to my hip... the largest in his litter so far. And I just noticed it... TODAY lol
So when was it your puppy was a dog to you?

| ^ Totally didn't mean to thank the above post, haha. Oops! That's where the reply button is on a different forum so I just naturally clicked it by accident.
Anyway, I remember thinking that both of mine were looking very adult by about 8 months. But now when I look back on pictures both were still so puppy-ish at that age LOL. But compared to when I got them I guess I thought they looked grown up.
I was just saying a few weeks ago though how manly Ripley is looking nowadays. He's 3 1/2 and there is really no trace of puppy at all. He's all filled out and just feels fuller and different somehow when I pet him, and he just looks very mature nowadays.

| Dreizehn stopped looking like "puppy" to me at 10 months. All of his pictures up until them screamed "lanky puppy" until the day I put my memory card into my computer and got this... Dreizehn - 10 months by PatchworkRobots, on Flickr

| The other day Rou looked dog-like, but he still looks like a scraggly, lanky puppy- only topping off at 55lbs. He started eating again like normal. Maybe it wasn't pano, but just running around like a monster on red bull.
He especially looks scraggly next to Mariano! lol.
But, I do look at him and wonder where the little "Min Pin" on steroids I brought home about 4 months ago went, and when I started feeding an anorexic baby hippo

| Hmmm, I looked at Lucky a while back and it was like "When did this dog get old?!"
Not the greatest picture (helps if you remember to put the camera back on autofocus after using it on manual focus) but you can really see where his face, that used to be black with a white blaze, is now grey with a barely discernable blaze. .

| Mariano does not look too old yet... but he is def becoming more regal looking than he once did. But he is just HUGE! he comes to my middle high thigh, and is so large in general. And becasue I am with him every single day, I do not notice him growing until I suddenly DO notice lol.

| I remember thinking Fiona would never look like an adult! LOL She has been such a late bloomer physically and mentally. I noticed her looking more like an adult around 2.5 years old, but she absolutely had an adult appearance by 3. Although so much of her expressions and mannerisms to this day are all puppy I sometimes forget she's damn near middle aged already. <3
I've only known Tali as an adult but I've seen baby pictures and I think Tali came out and said, "Hello world, this is what a Tali is." because she still makes the same expressions to this day. I have a baby picture of her from Ali where she's looking at the camera with just her eyes, heading facing another direction and you can just see baby Tali thinking, "What is all this non-sense?" So I think Tali has always been an old soul, even as a puppy, and it's always made her seem very together and adult in appearance no matter what her age.

| My boy is seven months now, and though he acts like a kid, I was looking at his 5 months photos the other day and thinking to myself that his body has changed so much.. he's not a chubby baby anymore or even a gangly teen... he's all adult proportioned like a big boy now.. (though he doesn't have his big boy chest yet)

| Kiss will turn 3 years old on Christmas Eve. I think she was a little past two when I thought, "Wow, where have these last couple of years gone?" It's really more in her attitude or personality that I notice it more then in her physical appearance. Sigh. God, I love this dog! |

| I didn't notice until someone said how big and muscled Toby now looked. (they hadn't seen him for about 3 months). All of a sudden I saw a different dog before me.
Thing is physically he's finished or so I believe with regards growing. He comes to just 27 inches tall, and is one muscle on top of another.
Mentally I swear he is still the goofy pup I bought.
Toby is 2 years old.

| I was looking back at Odin's puppy pics the other day and it really hit me that my boy is now totally grown up. And like sam1491 said it really is bitter sweet knowing you will never get those moments with your dog again but boy do I ever love this dog as an adult.
I think this is the last pic I have of him looking puppy
And this was taken in Sep '12 with my little man looking so grown up! |
