Dobermans in movies

Everyone speak up... Who is your favorite Doberman in the movies or on TV?

I think one of personal favorites is Alpha in the movie Up. The high-pitched...SQUIRREL!...The high-pitched voice cracks me up every time!

Same! And I love Alpha! As a kid, I was always quite intimidated by the two Dobes in Disney's Oliver and Company! Wow, they sure made them mean!

The Resident Evil Dobermans are pretty rad, and I've connected with several teenage boys in town because I was walking a "Resident Evil dog"

Other than that, I really haven't seen all that many Dobermans in things (haven't seen Up, or Oliver and Company). Though there was a Doberman in an episode of Supernatural, briefly, and his/her barking at a certain individual tipped "The boys" off to that individual's true nature. I was so proud!

Sadly, two dober-lives were taken on the set of one of the resident evil's, so I can't say that's my favorite!

Zeus was named after Magnum PI by his old owners (I HATE IT!)

I love hugo!

Really?! How did they die?

I don't mean to question you, but I did a quick search and could not find anything on the death of any of the dogs while making the movies.

Speaking of dobes in Resident Evil, I stumbled upon this video that I thought was interesting.

Eyes of an Angel makes me cry every time, that Dobe is divine. Not quite a film ,but there is an advert in UK that has 2 Dobes guarding whilst a small dog is lowered down on a rope to steal something (it is a spoof of a famous movie, but I can't remember which and to be honest,I only watch the Dobes) It is something to do with dog food!

This is before my time, but not my Uncle's. He brings up this movie every single time he sees Duke, and asks if I'm done training him to help rob a bank yet.

Looks like they are currently working on a remake for 2014. I'll be sure to watch the new version.

Rodney in It Shouldn't Happened to a Dog. It's an old film, 1946, a silly plot and goofy actors but the dog is great!

Zeus and Apollo on Magnum PI- although I dislike the cropped look, I loved "the lads". For comedy, the Dobe in Disney's "Up" with the squeaky voice.

I loved the Hugo doberman and was terrified of the two in Oliver and Company. I didn't really like this guy from Lady and the Tramp 2 either, but I've heard he's supposed to be a dobe/rott mix (with... natural prick ears? interesting...)

Funny story but I had no idea what beaucerons were before watching Marmaduke. As a result I thought the bad guy was a GSD/rotty/dober mix of some kind and was really confused why he kept calling himself purebred
