| Good Doberman publications? I'd like to become more well-versed in the Doberman world. What are some quality publications that would cover the who's who of the Doberman world? I'm thinking along the lines of some sort of periodical...

Both are good publications, with subscription information on their websites. |

The new name happened just within the last few weeks, I got something in the mail from them about it right after Christmas.
The DP Magazine is very new, so doesn't have the advertiser support that the Digest does. I think the layouts are much better.., given time, it will turn out to be the better magazine, IMO. But I've never been a big fan of the Digest. |

| | Big Pup | I love the Doberman Digest. Even better that they started doing monthly mags last year instead of bi-monthly. |

| Yes, I noticed that. I was getting magazines bi-monthly and all of a sudden I received a magazine for December when I last received the one for November. I was shocked lol. The only problem is I do not remember when my subscription ends. I guess I'll have to call. |

| New member hello! Hi all,
I'm new here. My Samson died this past summer and I'm attempting to become a Dobe owner again, having contacted my breeder. So, without a Dobe resting his muzzle on my arm begging me to do something interesting, I thought I'd look for some forums and do some reading!
Anyway, I appreciate the conversation on publications and thought I'd share something funny. I clicked on the link to Doberman pages above and got a site with some more links. When I clicked on "training", this site came up with a lady named Nancy trying to see me a training program developed by the Doberman institute. On their info page they have little pics of dogs and one of them is called Larry the dobe......but he's a rottweiler!!! LOL So beware of that one I guess. |

| I, erm... design for The Doberman Pinscher Magazine. *blushes and waves*
I can tell you that you've got about a 50/50 chance of getting me when you submit an ad for DPM. Marcy is the other designer, she also does a VERY good job.
I've got 20 ads or so in the most recent DPM. I also freelance, and have a few ads in the next issue of Doberman Digest. I've had ads in Dog News too, though I really dislike doing ads for that publication, and avoid it as much as I can!
Looking around... I've done a few ads for some DT members without their knowing... it's neat to work on ads for dogs/people I know, and I halfway want to contact them directly and ask how they like their ads - I always manage to resist that urge though. I get so giddy about my work with dog ads, it's a blast!

He is the most un-photogenic dog I've ever had .....sigh....

I'll be putting an ad about Connor in the DPM after his big wins in Indio, hope she gets to do it! |

I'm sure that Marcy would honor a request to have me do the ad.
