| Bully sticks -where do you get them I didn't know where to put this thread so mods feel free to move it
Envy is one of the first puppies I have ever had that is quiet in her crate at night (THANK YOU THANK YOU). I do leave her in the crate at night with a 12"bully stick. And that is getting expensive
Where do you guys get your bully sticks? Any ideas on saving a few bucks? I got the last pack at Costco and didn't pay attention to how much I paid since I needed them ASAP.

| I get mine from Best Bully Sticks. They have odor-free, really thick ones that I like, or I should say, that Lucy really likes. They sell bags of 25 in various lengths. The availability varies but I like to get the 12" jumbo odor free ones when they are available. Presently they are $110 for bag of 25 which may seem expensive but these sticks are far thicker than others I have found at pet stores, so they last longer. They also have thinner ones that are less expensive and they have coupons and specials from time to time as well. It looks like their standard 12" is 2.64 per stick and you can buy them in bags up to 100 sticks. 12 Inch Jumbo Odor Free Bully Sticks | Odor Free Bully Sticks

| Are you finding the bully sticks in the Costco stores or online? I have not found them online. That sound likes a great price. Thanks for the info.

| I go to a place called Soggy Paws here in Chicago, but I also order online from Fosters and Smiths. They have a good assortment. Depending on the level chewer,, and daily exercise you give him would determine the length of time he keeps it. Keno usually gets his at bedtime and when I need him especially quiet.

| can't imagine my 2 chewing on anything 4" or 6" ... Annie would simply swallow whole (she inhales or snarfs anything smaller than a football), and Willie just would crunch it in seconds - power chewer... so i'm thinking the super thick 12" ones would be safest for Dobershark-types.

| I think for the most part you're right, but it's also important to know your dog's chewing habits. I wouldn't reccommend starting off with a 4 or 6 inch piece if you didn't know how your dog chewed
I've sat in the same room as my boy while he chews them and they usually last him 15 minutes or so. The longest was 25 mins and shortest was 10 mins. He usually gets them down to an inch or smaller, then swallows them. I'd buy longer ones but they're so darn expensive and he needs a chew every day. He gets raw meaty bones most mornings and frozen filled kongs in the afternoons, along with some sort of chew (usually a bully stick or cow ear and the occassional rawhide). I'm totally gonna check my local costco out and see what they have for larger chews |

| We are a Best Bully Sticks house here - if you get on their email list they fairly regularly have deals or percentages off, I usually wait until I have one of those and stock up by the bag. The large 12" from there last Koa 20-30 minutes and the jumbo 12" 30-45. Sent from my iPhone using Petguide.com Free App |

| I'm going to also recommend Best Bully Sticks. The beauty of this shop is: great customer service, excellent quality, and the best bang for the buck, in my experience (and I've shopped around a fair bit.)
I'm a devoted Costco shopper, but I've avoided their bully sticks: they are usually not great brands (made in China, brands that have had recalls, etc.) I usually see Cadet brand there, which I'm not super comfortable with. Plus, for the price, BBS are generally a better value and size.
BBS uses only free range cattle from Brazil and their process of drying out the bully sticks ensures they don't pick up any bacteria or contaminants along the way.
I've gotten both odor free and regular, and I don't see that much of a difference, honestly. The smell on the plain bully sticks really isn't much. My girl likes the braided ones best for some reason, and I'd definitely recommend getting the jumbo 12" whenever available. They seem spendy, but they are very much worth it. Sign up for their emails, and they often do 8-12% off sales - not a ton, but every little bit helps. There are also some good treat and other chew options on there. My girl loves the trachea (short term chew though) and the stuffed aorta (easy does it on these, they are pretty rich.) The dehydrated lamb lung is a fun training treat - doesn't smell too much but is still pretty appealing and is easy to break into little pieces without much crumbling. The gullets are delicious (apparently) but last for maybe 2 minutes - probably not worth it for the price.
Love that store (and spend far too much money there, haha.)

| Hello! Like a couple of other people have said, I get my bully sticks from Bestbullysticks.com. My dog loves them and they keep them entertained and busy! They also carry odor free sticks as well just in case you're worried about the smell. I've bought from bestbullysticks.com for a couple of months now and have had no problem with them. I would definitely recommend getting your bully sticks from there! |

| Wow, you guys rock! So many options. This is mostly for Envy BUT she must be somehow related to Flirt because she tried to swallow a rib bone long-wise HOLE the first time she had one and got a trouser sock down 3/4 of the way by the time I got to her.
