Craigslist puppies

So today I was on craigslist looking at dobermans and I could not believe how man puppies were for sale. The post about the dogs were not even in complete sentences and looked like four year old wrote it. Anyways I got so annoyed I wrote a post titled Doberman puppies and in my post said do not buy a puppy from craigslist and that if it's such a good breeder they shouldnt have to market dog all over craigslist. And just warned people of high vet bills a puppy mill dog can have as gets older. I wasn't rude and didn't target anyone and simply said Doberman rescues get puppies as well... Oh and of course they try to sell you on fact dog is AKC registered..... Well good news! I just got email saying my post was flagged and removed meaning people saw it and hopefully made them thInk twice about craigslist byb dog.... But then of course I got flagged by peoPle selling them... Okay my question! Would anyone want to do a day or time or week where we all have same maybe three sentences of responsible buying (not on craigslist) and we all post in our areas or popular areas that they are. We can even direct them here for help.

I'm sorry if this is stupid or I'm being rude but I got Phoenix from a less than stellar breeder and it was simply because I didn't know and she said all the right things at the right time. I have spent the last year busting my butt with different rescues and fostering trying to make it better that i fell into a byb trap and did not rescue. Phoenix is amazing I just wish he came from a different place! And I must say Phoenix has been an amazing foster brother

Well, thank you for trying

No idea if others do this with any regularity or not, but I do try putting educational posts up on area CL from time to time.

They are invariably flagged down by the cretins, and often I get emails back from people asking how much I'm selling my puppies for. Um, what puppies? And, way to miss the point by roughly the distance from here to Jupiter.

I still write and post when the whim strikes, though, and hope you continue to do so, as well.

I do also think it helps (some) to flag all the BYBs who are posting in violation of CL TOS.

I notice a trend of more of the blatant ads being flagged down. Takes more than one IP to flag 'em down, so feel free to enlist friends in the losing battle--just make sure you don't get too invested in the results, 'cause it's just kinda a good deed thing, and not always super-effective.

It's so disheartening to see some of these postings that I try and steer clear entirely. Good for you at least trying to educate.

the thing i think you're not getting is people who buy off Craigslist really don't care enough to do research on the breed. they don't want to spend more than XXX on the dog, and that's where they go to find it...there and puppy stores.

I am the sea witch. I am the tide you fear and the turning you can't deny. I am the sound of the waves running over your bones on the beach, little man, and I am not amused at finding you on my doorstep.

Ugh people annoy me...I tried to make it clear that if they buy a dog on there then even if it is cheaper they will most likely have to spend money on ton of vet bills or put their dog down for not having a healthy dog. Maybe that will click a little...well I guess in my spare time I will flag all the posts I can. Funny how so many doberman puppies are for sale in miami and then I see so many adult (maybe two years) in Miami's high kill shelter....
