No idea if others do this with any regularity or not, but I do try putting educational posts up on area CL from time to time.
They are invariably flagged down by the cretins, and often I get emails back from people asking how much I'm selling my puppies for. Um, what puppies? And, way to miss the point by roughly the distance from here to Jupiter.
I still write and post when the whim strikes, though, and hope you continue to do so, as well.
I do also think it helps (some) to flag all the BYBs who are posting in violation of CL TOS.
I notice a trend of more of the blatant ads being flagged down. Takes more than one IP to flag 'em down, so feel free to enlist friends in the losing battle--just make sure you don't get too invested in the results, 'cause it's just kinda a good deed thing, and not always super-effective.
