Sorry, no pictures but over the 50+ years of Dobes I've owned dogs who had small dark markings on the chest and dogs with moderate sized bright markings and have seen HUGE very light markings.
Some rules of thumb about chest markings. Puppies chest markings tend to be large and lighter in color than they will be as adults. Dogs with any degree of melanism tend to end up with very small very dark markings. The dam of one of my dogs had markings that were hardly visible by the time she was 6--when she was 12 you had to have her in bright sunlight to even tell that there were markings on the chest at all.
And there are a few Dobes around (if you search the archives you'll find pictures of a puppy that appears to be solid black) who have virtually no markings--they are all, as far as I know, cases of extended melanism. Even the "all black" puppy had a few pictures that were taken outside in bright light and you could see that in the areas that would normally be rust his black was a somewhat different color than the black on the main body.
