Sorry, just a little excited.

Just got back from Mexico tonight, had to catch up on this thread! So glad to see our Rescue Elves package arrived...hopefully in my rush to ship it out I sent everything I meant to! I know some of the stuff wasn't mentioned/pictured but hopefully that was just an overview.

Also...hoping to hear our SS package was delivered and see pics of that too!

A nice man delivered a package to my house...turns out he was a VERY nice man. The package was for ME! All the way from Canada too. I can't wait for Christmas. My Mom says I have to though. Oh poor me, but I know it will be worth the wait. My Mom took a couple of pictures. I think we will get more tomorrow when the light is better.

Look what came for Meeeee! Can I opens it?

What do you mean "not yet"! When!!!

I might have to call upon my cousin "K9 Ruger" in Florida to help me convince you to let me have it now. Just kidding, this is a car my Mom saw in Florida last week when she was there. Almost like I followed her..

Come on December 25th.....hurry, hurry, hurry!

Cheryl

OK, I know I SAID we were waiting til Christmas to open our gift, but then this happened:

And it was COLD.

So, after being assured by someone who I think may have had an inkling of our Santa's wishes that it would be all right, we decided to open it EARLY!!

Ahem.....pay no attention to the cheese in Mom's hand. (And Kip's funky eye because the untalented one tried to fix the white eye in the picture with Photobucket's tools)

Mom still has the cheese (can you tell?)

A couple of EPAD's (Kip's eye was messed with again. Can you tell?)

The coats in all their glory. With warm doggies enclosed. Snug as two bugs in two rugs Just in time for our first snow this season! Thank you; thank you; thank you!!!!!

One more just for fun that I didn't know I had. Capri is NEVER going to live it down.

I am hoping this works. Fingers crossed! Forever Dobes is grateful for everything you have sent. We provided models and everything. Thank you all.

It came to me that every time I lose a dog they take a piece of my heart with them, and every new dog who comes into my life gifts me with a piece of their heart. If I live long enough all the components of my heart will be dog, and I will become as generous and loving as they are.

So, because it's Chanukah and unlike Vader, we really DO qualify to open our presents...... here are pictures of Willie & Annie's Chanukah. Thank you, Nynaeve!

Clearly, something smells intriguing...

(these guys are just too polite... they won't rip paper off, so I had to!)

The insides of the shiny papers...

coat and collar handmade by Nynaeve!! Beautiful work!

Both Annie and then Willie wanted to wear the fancy jewels!

But Willie has NO intention of letting Annie even try on the cupcake coat - even though maybe it is supposed to be for a girl? But Willie has NO issues with his masculinity, and likes how fuzzy and warm this is on his old, arthritic bones!

Then, after a nice romp in the frigid sun, daddy sawed the antler in half, and they settled in for a relaxing, happy chew!

(and, yes, I know Willie's nails are shamefully long, but trimming them is a little like trying to hog-tie a hyena, and they've grown too long since we moved here and he no longer digs furiously - we're working on it!)

Thank you, Nynaeve, Thor and Trinket!

Yeah, about the long nails--I think we must give our dogs too many vitamins or minerals or something, which ensures that they have long strong healthy nails. I'm trying to figure out what to leave out of their diet so we can have self-pedicuring canines. *sigh*

I'm very relieved that my "Canadian" SS victim received my package!!
At the post office, the woman scared me a lot that the Canadian custom is very strict for the contents in the package and/or if the Japanese custom? in Tokyo doubts, the package may be returned to the sender. She gave me a full size paper with 30 columns to affix the box and told me to list each and every item in the package. I started writing and 10 seconds later "No way!" It'd be more suspicious if I wrote them all. It does sound "Commercial" not "Gift". So I took a gamble. I went to another clerk and she handled well. As usual, like shipping to the US, I summarized the items. I'm so glad it went through without problems!!
Thank you so much!!!! Leala is so excited to open it!

I was jumping up and down screaming with excitement when I saw it came all the way from Japan!!!

Well no one in their right mind would ever refer to Willie as a "cupcake". Is that custom, it seems to fit great?

Yay!! I'm so happy it fits, and that they like the treats! The antler was a nice fat one, so it should last them a long while. Did you need a second jacket?

Willie,
The coat has lots of brown in it, therefore it's a boy coat. My mom made me be her model when she made it, so this boy tried it on too, it's very masculine. My coat is a giraffe print, and it's masculine because it's brown too, my mom said so. Glad it fits, and that it's warm for you.

Thor

My little wild ones got their SS box! I was a bad mom and opened it, not realizing that it was from our SS. I shut it right back up, and I am making them wait until closer to Christmas.

THank you SS!! I know who you are, but not your user name

Willie looks fabulous in his cupcakes Lois. On another note, Bella recieved her box yesterday. Took her to the mailbox to get it and told her it was hers and she "bounced" all the way home. Then I told her she couldnt' have it yet. Big let down for her I suppose. I almost want to pretend we celebrate Hannukah just so we can open it now. But I won't. Still have no clue who our Santa is but it was nice seeing it came from the state we grew up in. Also waiting on pics from our rescue. They received it last week but still no pics.
