we duzzint no NOX, but she must be reeely nice, 'cuz she sent me n stinky ol Willie a prezint for no reezin just becoz mom's some sorta saint or oaf or somthin - she makes peepol send eetch uther prezints - why dont they just giv ther own Dobes the things they buy - wuddint that be eezier?? wen kin we opin this box, ennyway?? mom sez we gotta say thank you, evin if we kent opin it yet... i dont unnerstand THAT! but thank you - we're sher we'll like it - whenever we kin opin it! Annie, the mostest beeutifull red girl mommy ever sore.



(PS... mommy knows her little princess' nails are long - we've been working on them - there aren't enough gophers to dig out in her new place, so her nice short nails now need manicuring more - she doesn't like that much.)

I have not heard anything from my rescue either, the package I shipped said it was delivered on Nov. 28.

Forever Dobes has been attacked by the DT secret elves and we love what we have received. Emily B. sent a huge box of blankets and collars. Jenn N. also sent some incredible collars. Seven, our tripod extraordinaire and permanent foster claimed one as his own and refuses to take it off. Forever Dobes is grateful for the generosity of the DT elves. These gifts make a rescue Doberman know what it feels like to have a new collar put around its neck, or a new toy that is all their own. And it does make a huge difference in how that Doberman feels. I would love to post the pics but I am having trouble remembering what site I went through before. I haven't posted pics on here in quite a while. So bear with me. They are coming.

It came to me that every time I lose a dog they take a piece of my heart with them, and every new dog who comes into my life gifts me with a piece of their heart. If I live long enough all the components of my heart will be dog, and I will become as generous and loving as they are.

Here are the promised pictures, and I got another box today from lolonurse! I will be at Arda's before Christmas and will get pictures of some of the rescue kids receiving these gifts too.

It's really such a lift to have so many people care about our dogs. We see so many people who don't care about their own dogs in rescue. It really warms our hearts to know so many of you care as much as we do about the "un-wanteds". They are wanted and loved by all of us. Thank you all so much and Happy Holidays.

Sarah & Arda... I think I mentioned that Raisin, our vixen little black kittie, has a fetish with chewing and carving up cardboard boxes... she destroyed the one I was going to use for your package, and I had to cram the things into a smaller box ... barely! But it caused me to forget to include a couple of little things that were just silly little extras... so I'll have to find a little box and send them along one of these days - meanwhile, tonight is the first night of Chanukah, so, Arda, wishing you a lovely, warm and happy Chanukah, latkes and chocolates and - some walnuts and an orange! (was that a thing in your family - maybe i'm just too damned old!!)

I have two reveals today! First DRAW got the package that they tried to deliver on the 30th. Thanks so much Elaine (eegreen) and Indy for all the toys, treats and blankets!!!




Second, Brandy got her SS package (NINKOjIN!?)!!!! She was so excited and was ALL over it giving it a good sniffing. I know I said Christmas Eve, but I don't know that I'll be able to wait that long!



I have to share some of the lovely artwork on the box. My stupid camera was getting a low battery, so it's a little blurry.

Our rescue package was delivered this morning. Yay Fedex! Only took four days. Hope they like their stuff.
