Ok, so Elke finally got her chance to open her box (I had to charge up my camera first) and we took pictures as we opened it. Thanks Chelse! We also got a notice that another box is coming, how generous! Here is Elke opening her first box:

Sorry for all the shots with the box - she was trying her best to rip it up even more than it started out. She also tried Very Hard to destroy the cute Bamboozler, but I think I saved it. I'll be in touch soon Chelse with the list of stuff so you can tell me if everything made it okay.

Dear SS,

We failed (by "we" I mean me), sort of, and opened a gift. It was the gift that would have proven if you were or were not who I thought that you were. Also, if it's what I thought it may be it would have been the perfect early opening gift so taht it can be included in all the pictures that I take tomorrow when we open the rest of the presents. Well, I was right on both accounts and am a little beyond words about it - thank you! The thing that we opened, as to not give too much away, it beautiful and amazing and perfect and Dreizehn seems quite proud of his new item.

I'm not going to say more until tomorrow to not give you away and leave people wondering about who their SS is.

Well I actually hand made the cookie cutters myself.

And then used this blog for a recipe. I added way more cinnamon. (like 1/2 cup)

I used to make them with my mom when I was a kid.

Then I modpoded and glittered.

And glittered.

The best part is that you can make a ton of them at a time. I also made some pretty wicked helicopter ones in my next batch. Our tree (and my moms) is all glittery dobes and glittery chinook helos.

In hindsight a layer of clear spray paint will probably help the glitter last... eegreen, sorry I didn't think of that before I sent them.

ETA: For the natural eared ones I "cropped" off the cropped ears and hand shaped a natural ear, then used water to attach before baking.

I really wish I had thought of the clear spray paint before sending them. I'd bet if you were able to give them a coat of it they would last so much longer. Or you might lose some glitter! (Which would be terrible of course.)

...a little bit of "business" to take care of, please... i've been trying really hard to keep track of the rescue packages, and whose arrived, whose WAS acknowledged, whose were delivered and have as yet NOT been acknowledged... but our son is here from San Diego, and having not seen him for over 4 months, i've been a bit preoccupied (plus trying to help our DT Sandy victim, and a few other things) - and my PM's are almost full and so i can't keep all the messages - well, you understand... if your rescue HAS received your package and has still not posted anything at all about it yet, please do PM me so I can follow up on Wednesday (no-one is going to answer me tomorrow or Tuesday)... thanks - lois

Great job! I might have to try my hand at that. The designs would be endless. I am assuming that you used some type of copper or other soft metal and glued the ends together?

Dear my SS, tomorrow evening I will be allowing Kratos to open his gift I was going to let him open them sooner but due toy recent tail bone injury i could not give him a bath and prep him for gift opening thus tomorrow will e the day since im feeling a tad better

First I would like to thank Roxy's SS. I don't know who you are except that you live in PA. I thought I had it figured it out however I was wrong. So onto the pictures. Sadly the bully sticks did not make the final cut in the pictures as they were the first to be chewed and were greatly appreciated. Roxy loves her Wubba and is currently working on the Himalayan dog chew. The pill pockets will be used on a daily basis. Thanks SS who ever you are

And our thoughtful SS even included an adorable doberman ornament for our tree...how cute with his little scarf!

Thank you so much Secret Santa....our guess....Jenny and Vader?! We loved the gifts, and Rowan was so excited to open the box and find all his goodies. We were actually at the Pet store today picking up a few things for him and we ALMOST got him a Wubba, glad we didn't but he will love it since he looooves playing catch. We also got him a treat ball toy that some of the treats will be perfect for. They will also be great for when our classes start back up after break.

Thank you so much for your generosity and spoiling our baby this Christmas. Sorry the pics/vid quality aren't that good, but hopefully they show his excitement!

Porscha - No-one is going to care if Kratos is spanking clean or not - you are injured, and shouldn't be doing things that will make you sore and feeling yucky! Just take the pictures, and we'll ignore the enormous clumps of filth hanging off him...

dear secret santa,
our momz is being soooo stwict and not letting us upen our pwesentz. We are so excited that we cant contain our smilez and energy! Today, when we were told that its Cwissmus eve, Ammo got the zoomies and Cadence got the jumpies!! Santa paws is coming tonight, we cant wait!

Well, we let V open the rest of his presents. Quack Quack is still his favorite. Our Secret Santa was to nice to V. He is one happy boy! Not included in the pictures is the bully stick he consumed the other day when I was sick and needed to rest & the liver treats. . . So here are a few pictures. He grabbed each gift and ran around the room with each one. Thanks for the yummy candy too!

I relented and let Baron open his package this afternoon. Thank you so very much Stephanie and Leala (steph&leala). Baron loves everything and had a great time opening. He loves the treats. This morning I made the trip to visit the dogs at the SWODR kennels to drop off their goodies. The dogs were so happy to pick out their own toy it was so great. Many of my shots came out blurry due to the dogs being so happy to have human attention and new toys!! Here are the shots that made the cut. What should I pick?

I can't believe this handsome man is at the kennel. Drew loved his Kong Tennis Ball and just wanted to play with it non stop.

We did have ONE casualty, but my SS gots my favorite treats! Wellness snacks! I opened the second bag before Mama could see what it was and eated one, hehe!

The Pandacat stared the whole time while I was opening. I don't think she was happy, lol. She didn't get nothin' from Santa - but she's a cat and she gets to sleep on the bed and I don't, so there! Hehe Plus she gets to chase that red dot on the floor and I don't

Dis ball was my favorite! Mama won't let me play with it unsupervised, though - I destroy stuffs too fast!!

LOOKIT ALL MAH LEWT! I HAD THE BEST SS!!

Then we went to Gramma's house yesterday... Mama had me wear my holly collar cos she says it makes me look perteh and all Christmas-y. I was worn out from all the present opening!!

Summary:

Another dragon stuffy! I still have one my mama got me when she brought me home - it's my (her) favorite!
A frisbee that I now drag all over the house! (we don't have many areas to throw it, gonna have to find some!)
A chuckit tug ball!
A Kong chewie (which unfortunately mama had to throw away - I got sick all over it

)
A chicken stuffie!
Two new collars!
A frame photo thingy mama plans to use at work in her cubicle!
Two new food dishes - PERFECT! I had just got sick all over my old one

Mama went ahead and tossed it to make sure I don't get re-sick
An LED light-up leash! COOL!!!
Two bags of WellBites!
A GIANT red Kong tug-chew!
A red rubber chew that mama's been feeling with my snax!
And a Nylabone!

Well, we aren't opening the presents until tomorrow BUT we broke down and opened the box ... And, there were these delicious looking dry cow ears in there see? And Auds and Alf promised to be stoic about their holiday nail grind/bath if only they could have a cow ear afterward??? Please mom pleeeeeease??!

So I relented- and all I hear from two very clean Dobes is "crunch crunch munch" right now

They said to tell Willie and Annie thanks for saving our Christmas Eve since mom is so grinchy and makes us get cleaned!!
