| We rescued our second Doberman Hello everyone
I would like to introduce our second Doberman Maks.
He is such a sweet boy. Porsche and Maks are getting along wonderful.
Except during feeding time. We are currently working on that issue.
Also Maks never had any type of training. He's previous owners kept him outside
He is wonderful with my 10 year old daughter and gentle with my toddler son.
He will be starting obedience classes in 2 weeks. |

| Well, all I can say is: Porsche and Maks, look like an awesome pair.
PorscheTatach - good for you, in Maks rescue.
Dogs with "together" feeding problems, I feed them from seperate food bowls, both at the same time...I don't compromise to dogs, or look weak.
At din-din time:
Each food dish, is several feet away...and I stand directly in the middle & use my legs and strong voice to keep order...showing confidence.
- and improvements are rewarded with a high pitch, voice of thanks
- quickly they learn, coming through me or around me (for others food)...is not an option or even tolerated, in my house...live by my rules
My leg block technique and leadership projection, I even used on my mechanics two GSD garage dogs, in the last week.
After a few days, they play with me, like I am their owner & buddy, and completely obey my direction now.
- it was fun practicing on them & seeing change..the shop dogs, light up
Now when I enter the garage (because needed attention, I am providing)...they pickup a short 2x4 piece of scrap wood, and run over to play with me.

| They both have separate bowls. And during feeding they are at least 4-5 feet apart.
Porsche inhales her food and then she growls at Maks.
Maks just backs off and gives her he's food.
Any advice would be appreciated |

| Congrats on the new addition! He looks gorgeous
For feeding, I always feed mine in completely different rooms with the door shut so they can't see or hear each other and don't see each other as competition and pick the bowls up as soon as they're done. I find it is a more pleasant, relaxed atmosphere that way. |
