Went black Friday shopping and picked up some much needed things for my rescue and made some treats for my SS. No worries they are safe and a great holiday treat my boy enjoys! Now I'll make an attempt to wrap today but it will be hard I am sure especially with a "is that mine mom?" Doberboy.
My last items are still on the way... maybe we'll have to box up the SS Rescue Elves box. Elke keeps going after the bag with the stuffies in it. She will disappear for a minute and I have to chase her down where she is trying to open the bag with the stuffies... Very one track minded.
I just place another order for my rescue. Lexi has picked out some real nice things. I did have to buy her a couple of things. Lexi went to her 1st Black Friday! DH didn't want me to go by myself to the madness at Walmart, so we all went. She was so good. DH and Lexi stayed in the van while I shopped. We were in constant phone contact. I had to report my progress every 15 minutes. If I had gone by myself, I would have been there for hours. We were there and home in less than an hour. I had another box sent to my rescue, but haven't seen a photos yet, they should have it by now. As always we must have lots of photos.
Dear SS we picked up another item for you today from our favorite local small pet supply store. Don't worry we added it to the horde of your items in our closet so Mazzi could resist the urge to inspect.
We started packing up our boxes today. Haven't quite been able to seal them yet. A friend heard about our doing "Rescue Elves" and is bringing by a few things for our rescue on Monday! So until then I can keep adding things.
I have to say I am not only SO pleased and impressed by how the Rescue Elves are blossoming, but also how incredible it is that Elves' moms and friends and coworkers are taken with the concept, and contributing, too!! This is as warm and fuzzy as it gets! Thank you to all.
Dear SS victim, Indy was a bad boy. He managed to get a hold of one of your gifts we bought on Friday and decided to test it. It didn't pass the test so we will buy a better Dober proof toy. Don't worry, the rest of your gifts are safe . Indy says he's sorry.
I am sorry SS, but I accidentally made a big pen ink stain on your Christmas card envelope!! (I did this to three of them, so you can't know for sure if it is you or not! ) My apologies, but at least you got a free hint out of it!
I really need to stop checking in on the "best sale of the year" sales online. If this keeps up, I will be mailing my SS and rescue boxes very late. Waiting on yet another box to come in. It's not helping with me indulging in a cold adult beverage..:bier: while ording~
Hint for today: I checked with my preferred shipping company, and both my victim and rescue will take the same length of time to arrive to them. One is north of the other, but not telling which one!
Had to start a second box for our rescue today. Oops.
Dear SS Victim: Everything is wrapped and ready for you! But I'm holding off on sealing it up cause you never know, I might find something else for you! - SS.
Hint: It is later in the day at your house than it is at mine.
I have some catching up to do tonight, but quick polling question for the victims: do you prefer wrapping or no? I can't decide ...
In our house we're still waiting for at least a couple more packages. Also, I'm sitting here staring at my inbox, willing my favorite online dog store to have a cyber Monday sale!! Do it, do it!!
PS: The two packages we're waiting on are both from etsy.
I'm a terrible gift wrapper - there typically ends up just being wads of paper surrounding said gift :s Most of my human victims end up getting stuff in bags - so I guess it's a good thing I'm typically a good present-chooser if my wrapping sucks!
Stuff ordered - victim will receive package directly from store. Unfortunately, there wasn't a gift wrap option. I suck at wrapping so - I apologize in advance for not individually wrapping - but I was able to get more goodies by having everything directly shipped to the ss victim!
Rowan absolutely LOVES unwrapping presents, and he doesn't care if you do a neat job of it. If you have the time/energy, he will appreciate it...and I will take videos.
I stole one of the goodies intended for you and snuck it to my crate to eat it!
It gave me gas
Look at it this way...I saved your humans a lot of grief!
Roxy
