Official... Secret Santa Torture.... I mean hint thread

shipped my final 3 packages.
there is good news and bad news.

Second Chance Dobes in Michigan will receive their package next week according to Canada Post.

I sent another secret gift to a member who is having a difficult time.
Lolonurse, I found that shipping address, thanks. Those doggies should also receive their box next week.

The bad new is my second and most important package went out oversees for my recipient. She will not get this one in time for Christmas. I feel so badly but it would have cost me another $78.00. Couldn't afford it.
So please note, to my special recipient, there are 2 boxes coming for you. I know you have one already. I hope the second package makes it in December.


My husband is having a shower so I can show you'all my shipping charges.

first box, for ss, oversees $140.00
heavy box for second chance Dobes $28.24
secret gift box to States $32.58
second box for ss, oversees $21.73, on a slow boat

next year I will have to be much smarter with my choice of gifts.

sending treats and reading DT is keeping me distracted.

Having a very difficult time with the loss of my Dad a few weeks ago.

Everyday I cry for a while.
Then I log on and read about Dobermans and it makes me smile. All those packages for the rescues are awesome. The pictures are great. Really hope the rescue I was assigned likes their stuff.

My dogs and horses are keeping me sane.

I can't comprehend Christmas without my wonderful Dad.

Shopping for dogs is about all I can manage.
Thank you to everyone on DT for keeping me busy with Doberman stories and beautiful pictures.

it gets easier with time, but it never goes away... but eventually the good memories and happy times overtake the sad and blue feelings. it just doesn't feel that way when the pain is so fresh. but those Dobes will try their best to distract and amuse!

I put out my ss package to get picked up by the mailman but it decided to pour and the package apparently fell apart from the rain. Sigh. So Monday it is being sent out for the second time. To my SS, so sorry about the delay! I apologize

flaminscotch, I'm really sorry for your father. I'm convinced that you're my SS, aren't you? The big box sits nicely in my living room. Stamps are beautiful but postage was shocking amount.
The first box is big enough and have you sent another box!? How generous!

Stunner and Cha Cha's package went out in the mail today for their friends. Cha Cha kept taking the tape so I had to resort to a different way to keep the packages closed and her out of them. Stunner was a good boy he kept taking it from her and bringing it back to me. Sadly that means lots of Doberman slobber and not so sticky tape. Oh well in the end those packages stayed close. When they arrive BE CAREFUL OPENING and Thank Cha CHa as you do open them. She is our lil devil.

our SS victims' package went to the post office this morning! if they fed the mule reasonably well, it should start its journey in a northerly sort of direction later today, and meander until it finds its way to our victims' house, somewhere not east of here. HO HO HO!!

We bent the rules (a little) because we're still waiting on one box, and FedEx tracking has it in the state!!

But, if it doesn't come by today, I'll ship out tomorrow. And I send priority so it'll make it there well before Christmas

Auds & Alf are super excited that they may, in fact, get to keep one of the boxes.

GAHHH!!!! EDIT!!! FedEX HAD it in the state. Then they shipped it PAST ME to Kent, Washington. So now it's not due until Wednesday. Guess the poor poor victims aren't going to get these last little gifts.

To be honest, not sure they would have fit in the already very full box anyway ...
