Hey all, mailed my cards Friday. Just a heads up, I am in Georgia, USA and the lady at UPS said I needed 3 stamps for the card going to Alaska, even though it is in the USA.

Received 3 cards so far. They are all lovely! Thank you so much Kahlua, Amelia, and Max'sMom!

Also, I used all my stamps on US cards then went to UPS intending to get Christmas stamps to mail my international cards, but they were sold out of all of the stamps except for some EXTREMELY American stamps. You will see what I mean when you get them. My boyfriend is from the UK and said he would laugh really hard at them, so hopefully you do, too.

have 5 cards now, and sent the Canada ones... i also included one in my SS box and my rescue elves box. i also have saved all the cards from past card, SS and elf exchanges... should transfer them all onto pieces of cotton and make a big DT holiday patchwork quilt out of them!! but i won't... i just have them in a bundle, wondering what to do. won't work as wallpaper.

....OH CRUD, Anon - thanks for the tip - I'd better check postage from NM to AK... never would have thought of that - it's further than the Canadian folks - but it IS USA... hmmm!!


*** further edit... I just went on the USPS website and did the postage calculator, and it confirmed that for normal 1st class mailing of a regular-sized letter/card, it's the normal 45 cents... is your card oversized or heavy?

Weird, it only took 1 stamp for me to send my cards out. Also, I went to look at the envelopes I received yesterday, 1 was from TX and it only had 1 stamp. The others were from Canada and the UK.

My cards are a little big/heavy, but not overly, I don't think. She weighed it and said it needed 3. Maybe it was just a ploy to get me to buy more stamps!

We recieved another card today, thank you very much dobedream! All the cards are so beautiful, I also get really excited when I see one come through the door Its great seing all the international stamps too. It only cost me 86p (About $1.20) per card to send to anywhere in the world.

We hang our cards of one of the beams in our living room on a line with little christmas pegs:



We bought new lights for our tree yesterday...big mistake! My OH selected these lights which are so bright they kinda hurt your eyes to look at the tree LOL

ROFLMAO. No! I can't even see Russia! Seriously though, the view from the window is a wall of rocks. If I go to the other side of the buildings I get a nice view of the water and mountains.

Usually there are giant crows sitting on the rocks, and I'm starting to think they were crossed with Seagulls with the way the sound. Sometimes there is a bald eagle sitting out there.

Hopefully I get more cards soon (and my windproof jacket, 3 weeks and waiting). Then I can make a Christmas tree out of my cards

Isn't that the truth! I have never seen crows as big. Years ago, when we had regular trash cans, 2 of them would get on the can and rock back and forth until they knocked it over. Also, they are so noisy when you get 100's of them.

A little hitch in my giddy up tonight. I was writing out the last of my cards and realized that while I had the envelopes, Vistaprint shorted me three cards! I contacted them right away and they were very nice and are sending me 10 more cards to make up for it. It's going to take 7 days though, so three of my cards are going to be a little later than the others!
