| Sounds like you are doing great....nice that your boy comes when called. Also really wonderful you have a fenced yard. My 4 stupid sons and hubby constantly let Petey outside without a leash, and we live on a road that cars fly down. They were all used to my Weimaraners, one had the shock collar on for our electric fence and the other never left my side, let alone leave our yard. Petey thinks it is great fun to let everyone chase him once he is out. I'm about to take my dog and MOVE OUT to a remote area if they don't stop making me get gray hairs!!!! Yesterday we were having a new driveway put in and I was at the back of our house, and one of the guys who was working starts calling hey doggie...I look over and stupid son #2 was walking near Petey...said someone else left the door open(I gave him the I'm going to kill you look!) I called Petey...he actually came right to me through 5 workers! I think he was nervous about them and wanted to get to mom. Several of the guys were terrified of Petey!!! I said to them....he is just a puppy...they didn't believe me because of his size! Only one guy came up and had to pet him...he owns Pit Bulls. Now that our driveway is in, hopefully we can get the electric fence on again and get Petey trained. What I'd really like to do is put an electric collar on each of my sons and hubby and shock them every time they leave the doors open....maybe then they would learn!
Keep getting out there...this is so great for you!
