| Diesel a current problemv Diesel has started doing his business in the house, even though he is out 4-5 times a day, solids only and in the same room all the time. Anyone ever had the same problem? prior to last week when it all started he has been fantastic in that department.

| One of my Weims would do that when it rained out, same room every time...my son A's, most removed room from the rest of the house.
Has anything changed that could be keeping him from wanting to go in the yard?

| back to basics.........are you positive he is going #2 when he is out? If not, then make sure he gets his business done first....then it's play time.
Rudi doesn't like to hang out too long if I'm not out there with him. I can trust him to poke around abit first....then he usually does his business. When it is raining.......it is hard to get him out into the yard.....but, he knows what he has to do in order to come back inside!

| Have you changed his eating schedule at all?
The best plan of attack is to feed at regular times everyday, whether you choose once a day, or twice..........try and make it the same times, then pay attention to when he goes #2. That way you will know a time frame to work with.
Orson is like clock work, he NEEDS to pooh about 1/2 hour to 45 minutes after he eats with out fail. He eats in the morning before I leave for work.......goes pooh, and then again in the evening, same routine. His pee schedule varies greatly, but pooh was easier to work with |

| We had this problem with Lucan and we started again with taking him out on a leash, on a schedule, to the same place in the yard every time for about week. He's been good ever since then. BTW, I like "pooh" spelled with an h, it's much more civilized! |

Neil | Can you block off the room that he soils in? That may help, plus make sure you neutralize the scent. You can buy at Target or? White vinegar sometimes helps too. |

| Thanks for the responses.
I am begining to wonder if it is a dirty protest. We spend thursday evening to late Sunday evening on the farm and monday to thursday in the city. The problem only exists in the city. We just got back to the city a couple of hours ago and we always walk the dogs as soon as we are all out of the car. This eveniong we were back in the house 30-mins and he has done it again. |
