| Red XIII Photos and Updates Well we finally got to bring Red home yesterday. He is 10 weeks old. 'Red XIII' is a character's name from Final Fantasy, the video game series. Our 2 cats are also named after Final Fantasy characters.
He had a big day – he was away from his family for the first time, rode in a car for the first time, went into a big pet store and picked out toys, had lots of visitors and got to play with his Beagle cousin, Lucy!
He slept through the entire night last night in his crate - a full 8 hours!!
It was just me and him for most of the day today while my hubby was at work, but we visited him at work in the afternoon.
Red spotted his first cat tonight, gave a few little barks but Titus (the bigger of the two cats) stood his ground on the other side of the door gate since he knew Red couldn’t reach him.
And he’s quite smart - already learning his name, and responding to ‘NO’. I had him helping me pick up sticks in the yard today and putting them in the stick pile!
No accidents in the house so far since we take him out at least every 30 minutes, or after naps, play, or meals. We're still working on being comfortable in the crate, but we'll get there...
So far so good. Thanks for listening and here are some pics! First car ride Playing with a toy Getting ready to take a nap Listening to the birds chriping outside Chewing on a rawhide Watching ducks in our yard

I'm gonna have to keep him awake during the evening so he sleeps longer at night! Quote:

I've been having to recharge my camera batteries much more often now that I have it out all day long - he's probably already wondering why I keep flashing a bright white light at him every few minutes, haha. |
