What is your morning routine with your Doberman(s)? Do you have a Doberman alarm??
Bella is the SUPER CHEERFUL EARLY-MORNING RISER at our house. Actually, it is not even morning when she wakes up sometimes - ummm, did you notice that the sun is not even beginning to peek over the horizon Bella???
Zen would sleep until 9:30 or 10:00 if not for her. A late morning for Bella is 6:15 A.M. (grrrrr). I rarely have to get up so early because I don't finish work until dark or later many days.
Luckily I have worked out a system for getting a bit more sleep. I feed them a small meal of raw, let them out to pee/poop, and then we can all snag some more sleep. Although I hate dragging out so early at least they get the time for rest after eating that is recommended to help avoid bloat.
lol Quinn is between 7-10 depending on when we went to bed, but then he just goes out for a pee and gets his morning breakfast then we usually go back to bed till 11 or 12 as I usually work 3-1130 and the SO works night shift.
Fiona wakes up between 5:00 and 6:00 a.m. to go out for her morning potty and poo but then back to bed until usually around 10:00 a.m. A lot of mornings even when she gets up around 10:00 a.m. she'll mosey around and play for 1/2 an hour and then crawl on the sofa and sleep until noon. LOL She's UP at noon though and it's balls to wall energy until around 10:00 p.m. (sometimes I get lucky and she takes a short nap between 7:00 and 8:00 p.m. though).
The alarm goes off at 5:40am. Eli wakes at 5:35am every morning, no need for an alarm and he doesn't care that it is a weekend. On weekends if I tell him to go back to his place he will for about 1/2 an hour but that is it, he is up and happy and raring to go. *yawn* I had to take some muscle relaxation medication because I twisted my neck (it is fine now) and I put Eli in the crate when we went to bed so I could sleep until 7:00am. It worked like a charm so very occasionally when I am ill or really need sleep I put him in the crate on the weekend evening. I think I have done it about 5 times in the last 4 months. He is NOT a sleeper inner. LOL. He will go back to sleep around 7 ish or 7:30ish until 9:00am but he is up early so I'm up too.
During the work week I don't mind getting up early so I have to play with him and the others before I have to go. I leave at 7:30, hubby leaves at about 7:50am.
My girls get up and mill around but won't instist I wake up with them, within reason. (hahahaha) I've become a master at learning to keep my breathing deep and regular to get in another hour of bed time on weekends.
Do any of you slam your eyes shut when the dogs walk by in the morning?
Niko comes in and checks on us anytime after 5am. He knows when we are about ready to wake up and gives us nose pokes.
He's really into nose poke lately.
He's a poker.
Ahhhh.......Angel has developed a new routine where she thinks 2am is the time to go pee-and then back up at 6 to let me know it's time to get Amie up for school, an hour early. On weekends I try to inform her it is saturday and there is no school or work but she seems deaf at those times, LOL...bless her heart! Then she naps while I work, and Dad works until Amie gets home from school, and then she is out to play, and play and play! Until once again bedtime and we start the whole thing all over again!
You know reading the above it was cute, becasue without looking at the pictures I would think we were talking about our kids. Oh, that's we are aren't we?
If I have to get up at 5am, she'll go outside to go potty , Come back in and go right back upstairs to bed (she'll barely even look at me, she's so bitter). If I don't have to get up early, then I can barely make it until 830am before she bugs me.
Thor wakes up around 7am, usually right after he hears my alarm go off. Then he cries until it's time for him to come out and pee, then gets his breakfast and goes back in his crate until 9 when I get back from taking my daughter to school. Even on the weekends, he's up and ready to pee between 7-7:30.
All my dogs wake up at 6:30 AM, they go out for a potty break. Then back in for breakfast, and back in the crates til 8:30 or 9 AM. I can drink my coffee in peace, LOL.
Every morning he wakes up at 6:00...Sharp!! but lays there quiet till about 6:30...after 6:30 who ever makes a move in bed, he runs to that side of the bed and starts poking with his nose...Although we are awake, terrified to make the slightest move because that triggers him towards that side of the bed...sometimes i pretend i am still sleeping and he stands there, concentrated an inch away from my face, for minutes to see when i am going to blink!!
We are usually out of the house at 7:00 for our daily one hour morning walk.
Every dog I've ever had has woken up whenever I wake up. I'm sure they're probably awake before I am, but they don't say anything. I've never understood how people can stand having their dogs wake them up, LOL. I've house-sat for a lot of dogs who liked to wake me up on their account, and I'm absolutely exhausted by the time I get to go back home from lack of sleep.
Lottie wakes up to toilet at about 4.30am (NEED to fix this!!) and wakes up just before my alarm but will go back to bed when told until about 7.30, then comes into bed for cuddles for 5 minutes and then we get up and walk. She goes back to bed once I go to Uni and the lazy girl goes to bed around 9pm! I think I need to keep her up later so she doesn't wake up so early
Hugo wakes up at 8am and jump up to bed with a little cuddle with me. We start our day after 10 mins cuddle. This morning he woke up at 11am, kind of sense that me and my boyfriend not working, Smart boy. 3 of us just cuddle in bed till 12 noon. lolzz.. wat a nice weekend...
Maverick and China wake up at 6a.m. during my normal work week. However, no matter what time they go to bed on the weekend, every saturday morning at exactly 8:16am maverick starts shaking his collar and pacing around.
My minpin is up when the alarm goes off and so is the doberpup but my older dober girl stays sound asleep. She may get up around 9-10. I ask her in the mornings when I take the boys out, do u need to go? She ignores me and I let her sleep.
Depends on when we go to bed/how tired it is/how dark it is (we have direct daylight in the room) - anytime between 6.30 and 8.30 - BUT this is a recent development. When we first found her (6-8 months), it was 4.30 and insane energy for the rest of the day - this graaaaaaadually shifted into what we have now over the course of 5 years!
Also, she seem to be "normalizing" in that it used to be either full-on energy or zonked out - now, there seems to be more "in-between" mode ... is that just us or is that fairly typical?
We recently overslept on a weekend and woke up around 9 - couldn't believe Lucy was still sound asleep - that hasn't happened in ... well, since before we got her!!!
Well, I think I'm actually lucky. My pup does wake up at "dark-thirty" (about 430), but since he's still a baby, I think I'm lucky to not be up and outside every two hours! Today he actually slept til 630 (and I was up before him), so I have concluded that he wakes up at 430 during the week because he hears my husband getting ready for work.
keela and cass normally go to sleep around 8pm then go potty about 10 and off to bed. Thats them till we decide to let them out again. they would wait all day LOL
Cayden gets put in the crate at 9pm, out to potty at 11pm, and thats him til 7.30am
Charlie liked a lie-in. I get up at 5 or sometimes 6 every morning and he'd obligingly get up whenever I asked but would happily carry on snoring until whatever time we were actually going out for his morning walk (eg around 8 on dark winter mornings). He was always great at night - would sleep straight through, except very occasionally when he wanted a pee at 3am or whatever and would nudge me with his nose until I let him out. Then he'd do his business, come back in and go straight off to sleep again
During the week... I'm up first and the princess stays in bed while I get ready. After I am ready to go to work... I have to get her up... get her to eat, then we walk, get her home and then set her up for the day. which means she gets to go into her crate with some treats.
On the weekends, mostly she is up early... It's like she tries to ruin my opportunity to sleep in.
However, on days like today, after showing all day yesterday, I've tried to wake her twice already so we can head out to today's show, and the lazy little girl is still in bed. I have to go get her highness now.
I guess we are really lucky. We live in a two story house. We close off the stairs. Destiny has free run of the house and Hank stays in his crate. They are both quiet until Hank hears my wife get up then it's this annoying ear piercing wail. If I am the first up he will not make a peep. He knows the difference between our footsteps. We have tried to fool him but he knows, somehow.
Im pretty lucky... Miesha is perfectly happy to curl up next to me until I wake up, Baruch on the other hand is up at 7. He goes potty and then I always try to lay back down but he wants to eat too. Its funny how rigid he is about his schedual
For the most 8am is the time to get up. Today he wanted to sleep in so I got up first at 8:51. I work retail so I have a full flex schedule. On the mornings I have to be in at 5am. I'll get out of bed 3:50am he'll just lay there looking at me like ummmm you know it's not time to get up. However days where I go in latter if I am not out of bed by 8:05am he'll let me know it's time to wake up.
