When it's warm out and time for one of Mocha's Duoxo shampoo showers, I take her to the bottom of the deck and we let the fun begin. After we're done, I dry her off some, then let her go up on the deck, where she lets me know in no uncertain terms what a horrible dad I am for putting her through such horror and misery. Not the best pics because the sun was right overhead, but you get the idea how put out she gets LOL.
BTW, I took her for her heartworm test today, and she's holding steady at 65 pounds (yippee ) and the doc still can't believe the changes we've brought about in this girl over the last year
After her showers she gets amped up and gets the mega-zoomies so I think it's all play but she sure does crack me up. How dull my life was, before Mocha, and I didn't even realize it
Hmmmm.... Wash a dobe..... I think I understand the concept, yet I am totally unfamiliar with the actual practice. Perhaps I could find a video on youtube.
Mocha is a special case because of her allergies...while the shots have controlled most of the symptoms, she does still get minor dandruff and slight hair loss every now and then, especially after being out in the back yard playing (she's allergic to our fescue grass, of all things) so maybe once a month she gets a shower with Duoxo medicated shampoo. Between the nice cool water and the shampoo, it lets her skin settle back down to normal.

In this case, Capri got to ride in the back of the car in all her mucky glory before we could get to a hose.....*sigh*
We lived in Illinois with my first dobe, a black & rust, and he would lie down in the black bogs they have up there--when he got up, he had NO rust points, no rust butt blotch--just pure black. Wicked mean looking.
Yes, right now we're to the point where she gets one shot per month, and her full regimen will be complete in (I believe) January. At that time, I'll be asking for the maintenance doses because the shots have worked wonders for her. She's not 100% symptom free, but we watch her close and anytime we start seeing her coat getting dryer than usual, more hair loss than usual, or the start of flaking, she gets a shampoo (I'd say we bathe her about once a month). Plus, we wipe her down with the Duoxo medicated pads after heavy playing in the fescue grass. Add sardines in water every 3 days, and a daily tablespoon of organic virgin cold-pressed coconut oil (the things we do for our dogs, eh? ), and all is fine.
Now, to finally get around to your question, this is the one we use: Duoxo Chlorhexidine PS
She is looking great, you are doing and outstanding job
