| Chase's results from the National Hello
What a weekend, it was a 7hr drive for Mel and I to get to the National but all worth it once we got there. For my first National it was quite the experience to see that amount of Dobes in the ring. I know it's not as big as the US National but still amazing to see.
Now Chase was only entered 3 shows, and now that I look back at it I maybe should of entered him for all the 5 shows but it's was so expensive for Mel and i to go in the first place. Here are his results :-)
Friday we went BPIG and got 5 points I was so shocked on how well he did. It was kind of funny because people were coming up to me and asking how many shows I was entered in. When I told them 3 shows they said thank you. You now gave the rest of us a chance. Hahaha
Saturday- we did not do much Chase got Reserve Winners and a first in the Puppy sweeps. There was a Rumor that May Jacobson does not put up Puppy's. Well when Chase lost for Best of Winners she came up to Pat and said he is a nice looking " Puppy". lol
Sunday- same results as Saturday (Reserve Winners) again we lost to a more mature dobe. I was happy on how Chase had done at this point. After the specials were in we put him in for Best Puppy and what do you know. He won Best Puppy in Special..yeahhh
What a great weekend for Chase, Pat handled him like a dream and he did so well. I will post his Best Puppy in Special picture when I can get it scanned.
PS. It was very nice meeting you Mary, how did you do this weekend? Maybe you can post some more info about the weekend and the results.
Okie did you make it out??

| Wow, that's FANTASTIC! You really can't ask for more than that at any National with a puppy.
I exchanged a couple of emails with Pat right before the weekend kicked off, and she was looking forward to seeing him..
Congrats, DL..I'm really glad he did so well. Looking forward to seeing pics.

Good job--five points is five points and that means he's half way to his Canadian KC championship. Not too shabby.
Even to get a Reserve with a puppy under May Jacobson is pretty good--she really doesn't like to put up anything except mature dogs and bitches--I've seen her judge several times and that seems to be pretty consistent.
So a big congratulations on the points, Best Puppy in Group as well as the Best Puppy in Specialty. |

My wife and I were there on saturday afternoon. It's quite a site to see all those Dobes hanging out in one place. Unfortunately we couldn't stay for the entire judging. Congrats again - Chase is well on his way! |

| It was nice to meet you too, Ryan.
I'm sure you saw my embarrassing foray into the veterans ring with Rocket, who was convinced we were doing obedience and just kept sitting and really didn't want to stand. I did manage to get him into one nice stack for the judge's examination. After all the standing around and having been in the ring for veterans, my knee was bothering me too much to take Zeke in for the specials class so we sat it out and watched.
Jessie finished her CD on Sunday, which also completes the requirements for the Canadian ROM. I tried to insert the picture but I don't really know what I'm doing. |
