Question Caesar throws up when ever we travel

Hey guys,

Hope alls well. Ceaser is 6 months old now. Whenever we travel, he throws up in about 20 mins of travel and then he begins to drool like a tap left open .

Have any one of you faced anything like this? Does this get better with age? Cause i wanted to take him for along on my trips, not very far about 25KMS.

Cheers..!!

There is some good info by 'tosca' in this recent thread. It's fairly common at his age. Puppy vomitting on car rides

Yes our girl who is a year 1/2 can't be fed too close to the time of a car ride or someone winds up wearing it.

I haven't found a real solution for our problem yet, other than to hope that at least 4 or more hours have passed since her last meal.

/needs an SUV w/rubber mats in back lol

My boy did that as a puppy, too. Still drools a lot if it's a very hilly/bumpy/curvy ride. I gradually increased the length of our trips. I'd take him for a spin around the fields - starting at just a five minute ride every evening after work, gradually building up the length of our trip.
If it helps .... he's 10 now and has been (vomit free!) on MANY 8-12 hour trips in his lifetime. Hang in there!

Benadryl prior to leaving. I think I gave Isabelle a 1/2 pill maybe a whole pill - it has been along time. She eventually outgrew it.
