Everyone thinks Peaches is a Weimeraner. But my all time favorite is what I read on here once that someone thought their Doberman was a Deer. That cannot be beat!

I had someone ask me once if that was a Great Dane. I had an uncropped puppy once, and someone asked me if that was a Beagle?

The other day , when we were getting his booster shots, someone asked if my Hooty was a "skinny Rotti". Huh? I said, "Not with that nose! He's all Doberman...". LOL

Our little boy, not so little anymore... has the long floppy ears and someone at a red light saw him in my arms (My husband was driving I was the passenger)...and they said "oh, cute! A Dachshund!" GRRRR....lol

There is this old lady who lives downstairs and she SWEARS Athena is a beagle!

I even heard her on the phone outside one day, "There is a man who lives upstairs and he has the cutest beagle..."

I can't wait to see her face when she sees Athena's cropped ears tomorrow!

Anyway, to answer the question: just the other day on our walk (an uneventful one where Tess did NOT get charged or jumped *whew*), she got mistaken for a Great Dane. She's all of 25" at the shoulder, but whatever. Seriously, do Danes even come in Black & Rust?

Oh, and I forgot about the time that the people who had the pits who jumped Tess tried to make it all sound better to the cop by telling them that I was walking a Rottweiler. Idiots...

Well, nobody has mistaken Kaleb's breed too horribly.. but on the way home from picking him up, we stopped at a gas station and someone came up to me and said, "WOW! Cute dog! He's gonna be a beast." And I was like "Thanks... he's actually going to be a dog. A Doberman to be specific, not a beast" and then the woman goes, "Are his markings naturally like that or is you dyeing them!?" And I was like "That's...how...they...come?" And she was like "Oh I always thought people dyed them eyebrows on!"

Uh...buh?
