| It's slowly dawning on me.... particularly after reading/answering several posts in the last few days.
I have a Doberman who fakes me out when having to pee in the rain, hogs the bed when I'm not looking, sleeps on the couch (on top of my children who are then squashed between said Doberman and said couch), has more toys than my children ever did, has me surfing the net for neat Doberman stuff, I'm now a DT junkie, she gets walked 3 times a day, I spend more time worry about what to feed her than my human kids, and I certainly spend more money on the dog than I do on my kids. I get excited when I find a neat dog toy, or get a great photo of her. I waste huge amounts of time scoping out new dog parks and trails. I spend endless hours watching her play with her stuffies (the BF and I wasted 3 hours the other day just watching the dog be a dog) and all I talk about now is my dog...
My name is Jennifer...and I'm an addict...does this get better? Or worse??? |

| Hi, My name is Kate and I'm a bella addict. I do all those things too..........!!! I just think it might subside once she's not a puppy.....but!! I find her so fascinating and lovable...someone earlier posted that they wanted to find a way to keep the dog off the couch because she didn't want the couch smelling like 'dog'....I thought to myself..."God, I just love the way she smells.....!!!" Wonder if there is hope for me |

| | Alpha | There is no hope, throw in the towel now. Bumpy fascinates me with everything he does and like a proud mom I am sure he is the only dog that does any of these things. My name is Lana and I too am an addict - LOL. It only gets worse..... |

| Hahahahah, better or worse, depends on your point of view! I can't think of anything better than living in Dober Heaven on Earth! If you want something in your life that you can depend on to love you unconditionally and be LOYAL for life. GET A DOBERMAN!!! OR TWO!!!!
My name is Darlene and I am a DOberholic too!!! |

| Decidedly worse, I am afraid.
The good thing is, it saves on the electric bill, as I watch my two play, instead of TV--way better plot and acting than anything on there.
Really, you have to have at least two Dobermans in order to really achieve the addict level of housekeeping catastrophe.

| It's ok to admit your addiction. Own it, wear it! I know I do I also wear dog hair, and the neighbors think I am a bit crazy. I love living in a dog house!

| It really does only get worse......sorry.
It's 5 pm, I have to get home to feed the dogs, not the son, not the BF, but the dogs. I plan my days with what I want to do with the dogs first....then with any remaining time I try to fit others in.
I love this site and the people on it, and I really try to stay off while at work, but sometimes I just can't and have to take a quick peek for any new and interesting threads.
I'm a doberman and DT addict!
