| I have a kabillion cats...or it seems like it when I'm scooping boxes...but I'm getting a new leather livingroom set (we're doing an WHOLE house reno right now). I find if they have scratch posts and you trim nails once a week to keep nails dull they do not do any damage. Quote:

| | Alpha | The best way I've found (and I've got a lot of hair in my car) is to get a damp towel and wipe the seats down - it will pile it all together and then you can vacuum it or grab it. I've also drip a bit of water from the sink (or spit a little) into my hands for a quick run down the pant legs. (Did I just share too much? LOL)
If you have a shedding blade (most of you probably don't with dobes...) that works well on the carpets on the floor of the car.

| We have leather, the cats have never intentionally scratched it, only when they r running around like maniacs, like im talking jumping on and off furniture and jumping over our heads did the leather get scratched but def. Not shredded. Plus, there are always soft paws- i love them. |

(Yeah, I need to invest in Soft Paws.)

| Husky owners say the 3M tool is worthless, then again that's husky fur vs Dobe fur.
My back seat is completely coated in white Poseidon fur. The cord for my Dyson doesn't stretch that far, and my little handhelf vacuum (shark?) didn't work either. A friend that works for the airport says they use the Dyson handhelds on the planes and they don't last long so I haven't invested in one of those either.
My solution is to just pile so much junk in my car that the hair on the seats can't be seen. It's working so far, but that means I can't fit more than me and the dog in the car.
One of these days I'll go to a carwash and use their vacuum. I might even wash my car while I'm at it. I haven't washed my car in at least 2 years, the last time it was done I lived in MI.
I'd probably take better care of the poor car if I actually liked it. I treat Randy's Jeep like gold....I adore the Jeep!

Good call--that's the method I use, as well. It's working so far, but that means I can't fit more than me and the dog in the car.
And the problem is...?

He was pretty annoyed.
