| Geico + Dobermans = No Go
Just an FYI for prospective homeowners in NC. If you have Geico for Auto and want to use them for Homeowners as well, they will not insure you if you have a doberman.
The lady I spoke with didn't ask any questions about the actual dog, she just said that Dobermans were a No go for them.

| just curious - I've had four homes and never had the insurance company ask about dogs - my latest house I closed on in 2003 and insured it - they didn't ask.. are insurance companies asking now?

 | My insurnace company has never asked and I've changed my policy a half dozen times lately, adding motrocycles, removing cars, even making changes to the house portion of the policy.
I wonder though, if they have a statement somewhere that I haven't read, that says they don't cover certain breeds...
