Holly - 9 1/2 years: came from Illinois Doberman Rescue (IDR) They are the best! She was found on Christmas day (hence the name) wandering around in the snow. She was 10 months old. We searched for a dog at IDR for a few months, and after looking at 7 other dobes that were up for adoption, we decided on Holly because of her affinity to kids, and she is beautiful! Couldn't have asked for a better dog! The only thing I would change about her is her lack of barking when someone comes to the door! She has only met 2 people in her whole life she didn't like, and growled under her breath softly. You better believe I listened!

Sora- 5 months: came from a breeder here in Illinois, Mostly champion bloodlines. Her Father is CH Ravenswoods Azure Sky. Dobequest

Azure Sky is currently 6th in the country (conformation) and has produced many Champion/Obedience/Performance Titled Dobes. The owner of the sire also owns and runs The Obedience Center, LTD here in Illinois Welcome
Sora's mother is BIS (Best in Show) CH Dawn Ri's Going Down Swinging, owned by Shari Demitrowicz, Illinois. The dam is also obedience trained and there are plans for her in protection work. Though Sora came mostly from top winning comformation dogs, her father produced many Champion/Obedience/Performance Titled Dobes and is going to get his WAC, (Working Aptitude Certificate) this fall. Sora is very smart and brave, and besides being very pretty and correctly built, she has a working dog attitude and a solid stable temperment. Too smart maybe! Always brings me the things she knows she is not supposed to have so I can tell her good girl for bringing them to me!

Sorry for the brags, but I can't help it, you know how a mother gets!

Keira came from a breeder here in Calgary, also a good friend of ours.

Winston came from Keira's breeder, who was involved in rescue at the time.

I'm not sure where our "breeder" would fall in that list. This local couple had a registered female and rescued a male. They let nature take it's course and Kade arrived with 2 sisters and 5 brothers. They put an ad in the base paper. They aren't professional breeders and not very smart when it comes to dogs anyway. They skimped on all the health issues such as treating the pups for worms and I hate to say it, but I honestly believe (based on looking at Kade's nub) they also did not seek the assistance of a vet in the tail docking process.

I really wish we could have afforded to "rescue" one of her siblings from those nincompoops.

Currently one from a breeder and one from dobe rescue in Long Island.

Past - 2 from breeders and one from DRU rescue in NH.

I got my boy from a breeder that was recommended by AKC and DPCA. I wanted a dog with good working lines and good health...Bell"lavoro Dobermans, Middletown, NY...
After I went up there I knew I had found the right breeder.

My first dobe was a red girl she was adopted from a shelter. She is the reason I fell in love with the breed.
My last male was from Carol Petruzzo - Carosel Dobermans
Our new pup is from Sophia Koster - Eastwick Dobermans
